Any of you ladies start dress shopping yet? I started this week, hopefully going to make the big purchase on Sat. I feel like it is so early to look for a gown, but i guess in reality it isnt! For me, I just need to buy something, cause if i keep looking at dresses online i am going to go nuts!!!! It is such a hard choice!  I am debating betweeen a 'typlical' destination wedding dress, kinda sexy, and an all lace Maggie that i love, but is more expensive and not sure if it beachy enough.....sigh!

I bought my dress last week! I thought it was super early to, but according to the lady not that early.  Its going to take 6 months to get my dress in and then I will have to do some alterations (hemming for sure) and she also said that because we are getting married in January you have to consider the time most places take off over Christmas and New Years. Happy shopping!  I found a dress I loved and its not what I had in mind.  Its not really beachy but more formal but I fell in love.  I wanted the cheaper, lighter, flowier dresses to work, but I just didn't feel as pretty in them!  I think you need to just buy what you feel right in!  Good luck!

I am leaning towards a non-beachy dress, i am normally not a person who dresses sexy, i tend to lean towards things that are more pretty, and of course the two dresses i have in mind, one is sexy/beach, and the other is a little more formal and lace and pretty . Going today with my mom to show her the contenders, even though i know she is going to love the lace. Tomorrow i have to go with FMIL (they couldnt get off on the same day) and i know she is going to like the more sexy one. Ugh. I just want to get it done!! lol!!!

Mine should actually be getting in tomorrow! I ordered it a few months ago :)  The dress I wanted was really hard to find and I was worried it would be gone if I waited until now.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
