    Yay @ DJ Mannia! I just held firm with the Weddings dept., that my Miami coordinator could have told me about the vendor fee instead of leaving me waiting two weeks to hear from her instead. It's definitely worth a try!

      I booked Melissa from MVP Hair and Makeup, I only have to purchase the day passes for her and two assistants.

          I'm thinking about hiring someone to do makeup also, and am definitely considering Sara Tamargo since we are using Del Sol for our pictures and she is Sol's sister. All the pictures I've seen where she has done the makeup the brides look beautiful!

           

          Does anyone have any pricing for her or other makeup artists? Ultimately I might end up doing my own since it sounds like the people at MP aren't fabulous, and I'm an Esthetician, so its something I know how to do...it just might be nice to not have that to think about. MAC is one of my favorite lines, so maybe there is someone who works well with that line.

           

          I have not said anything to Janina yet about bring Del Sol in for our pictures. So I will be curious to see what she has to say and what they will charge me. I started working with Marvin, although I haven't heard back in a few days, but since we have plenty of time I'm not too worried about it. I'm glad he is experienced at getting around the "no vendors policy". That will save some big bucks!

           

          Is anyone going to have a slide show at their wedding? I'm wondering if there is a way to have that at our rehearsal dinner/reception if we have it outside somewhere other than a ballroom. Anyone know?

            Ok I finally got it- almost 3 weeks later now.... Ok did you have a problem with trying to change just the 5 days that are reserved?  Like if someone tried to book longer or come on a different day than the start date?

              After looking at the cost of bringing my make-up artist to Cancun, I decided to do some research on artist there.  Essentially it was between 3 reasonably priced folks.  Sara Tamargo, Norma Perez and Adrian.  After looking at the pictures (some had less than others) I have booked Norma Perez to do my make-up and she uses MAC.  However, the other artist do as well. 

               

              I didn't speak to MP regarding this simply will add her to my guest list for day passes.  We are only getting make-up done (so the prices were adjusted to reflect that), and I'm also having Norma do my TTD make-up as well.

                  Hi ladies I'm desperate for some help!

                   

                  So this week my TA and the MP people have been working on our wedding contract.  Today I get the "ok" from the travel agent with dates and prices and all that fun stuff and she tells me to go online and to make sure our date is booked . . .

                   

                  I go online and it says there are NO weddings to be booked that day!

                   

                  i've already called Lisa, I actually go a person on the line but it was NOT her.  Apparently Lisa is supposed to be "calling me back" but we know how long that will be. . . .

                   

                  Am I going mad/bridezilla like here or is this just CRAZY?!?!?!

                   

                  I have already posted about this on their facebook page but shocking NO response. 

                   

                  Anyone have any issues like this or am I the only "lucky" one?


                  Waiting on Palace Resorts to sign our contract.

                    Hey Ladies!!

                     

                    Does anyone know about the photography at MP? My sister was originally going shoot the wedding but I would much rather have her be a bridesmaid than have to "work" at my wedding. I was just wondering about them or if would be best to start searching other avenues.

                      Hello there, congrats and happy planning!

                      First of all try to remember that you must enjoy every step on this planning. 

                      Your list will increase and decrese every day, so don't pay attention to that, focus on the good things you like to plan. Begin with the cake, your dress, invitations, .... try to have a plan B in case moon palace is not available and go on with every thing else. 

                      Im sure by January you'll have almost every thing under control : )
