Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Just been looking through other forums, and Think i might have answered my own questions! Would the cocktail hour, sit down plated meal in a private area and reception all be free of charge for over 30 guests because I would be honoured unlimited private functions? All I would therefore need to pay for is extra seats at the ceremony?Ddoes anyone know how much this would be? Also need to pay for an extra table at $300? Sorry for being a pest!! Thanks, Nicole
Hey Nicole, when do u go? X x

Hiya!! I haven't booked up yet. Just getting all the details before I do so! Are you travelling from the UK too? Do you know the answers to any of my questions?!! X
Hey, I'm travelling from the UK too @ the end of September 2013. In the cocktail hour I believe you just get hors d'oeurves (excuse spelling lol) After the wedding ceremony your would have the cocktail hour (free if you have group benefits). Then for the reception you only get the buffet options if you have your reception in a private location. (Not A la Carte) You will only get 1hr cocktail & 2hr dinner free. If you want dinner plated I think it's $35pp extra Not sure about the additional above the 30 guests we only have 20 at the moment. We're going from Scotland too :) Charlene x

That's great thanks! I'm not bothered about a private area really for my dinner. Just would rather a sit down plated meal. So even with unlimited private functions (for having over 75 room nights) there is still a $35pp extra charge for sit down meal? It's a pain when you the resort don't email back to clarify anything! Thanks your help, it's cleared some stuff up! X

I'm not sure if they only allow you to reserve in advance if you are going for a wedding or not??

Hello! I have not booked my massages yet, however my wedding coordinator gave me this person as a contact for when I do:

Karla Estrada at kestrada@palaceresorts.com

Hope this helps!!

Hiii MPBP so it sounds like your planning your events similar to what I had. I had the symbolic ceremony in tucan gazebo followes by cocktail hour at venido terrace followed by dinner/reception at carabeno terrace. To have a sit down plated dinner you have to have it as a private function bc you have more then 30 people therefore they won't let you set it up in the carrabeno restaurant. Only the rooftop of the carrebeno which is a private space and will charge you $12 pp for the private space. Also plated means you will have to choose the menu for all. Only 1 thing for appetizer and 1 salad and entre for all. Because of this we chose th Buffet set up which worked out great since we had the lavender lux reception collection and decorated tables w china so people just filled up their own plates and sat down to eat just like plated. Let me know if you have any more questions

Hi lovely ladies, I'm wondering if anyone else has been assigned Renee Garcia as their wedding planner? I asked the contact person we've been dealing with- Ricardo Acosta for info on the wedding planner and I just received email with her name only. I'm just curious if anyone has worked with her or is currently working with her. Also any contact info on her would be helpful. Thank you

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
