Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Thanks for this.  I haven't really been stressed until now.  Really, the Moon Palace Miami office is causing me so much more frustration than I anticipated.  Even being here on the boards and KNOWING that they are slow, isn't what is bothering me, but the extra LEG WORK they want me to do.

Joannis resent the excel spreadsheet to me today with the extra "fees and charges" ... and there is a $300 civil fee... that I ALREADY PAID BACK IN AUGUST.  If it was someone else who didn't check their older paper work (or someone who can't check their cc statement from over 6 months ago) they may have just paid Moon Palace and extra $300.  Honestly, I have so many details to work out and they're just sending me on a wild goose chase.

The $65 set up fee is for ceremony only.  I don't even want to ask about reception.  I told Joannis to take it off for now.  I'll talk to Kalena about it in person.

I don't plan on paying her anything.  I will pay later at the resort.  But did you sign the spreadsheet invoice?

Im interested to see how long it takes you to recieve your refund.

Haven't signed anything like that, just the initial contract months ago. Our room is fully paid for and we're doing the complimentary (and symbolic) wedding, so I'm really figuring that we can pay everything else at the resort. I mean, how can she come in now, after months of no contact, and start demanding payment for things? no way.

Good idea. Joannis sent me the spreadsheet but didn't say anything about needing to pay so I just ignored it. It worked out. My coordinator showed me the bill after our wedding (since we added last minute stuff) and added it to my room bill at checkout.

Yeah, I don't think anyone should pay before leaving (regardless of what they send you).  I didn't have Joannis, but no one ever asked me for payment before hand, so I don't think its standard and the people that paid before seemed to have issues with their credit cards.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
