I believe Sunrise is the only section with double beds available.

Specifically, I am curious about the "Deluxe Resort View", the cheapest option (with king or 2 beds), and the Superior Deluxe Ocean View rooms. We blocked the Ocean View rooms but I want to know if someone choosing the Resort View rooms will be forced to be far away from us or can still be in the same section of the resort.

Yes you def can make a CD from iTunes songs.  I usually just make the playlist in iTunes and just hit burn CD from there.

Mlite- There is no beach at Aventura. Just a little cove area! It was a major factor in why I didnt choose there. My friend di because it was adults only, and we were going to go to another resort for the beach...but that resort was closed when we went. It was still becautfuil, suer fun and the food was amazing! Keeping my fingers crossed all palace resorts are the same in that way :)

We originally had ocean view and deluxe rooms in our room block as well.  According to my TA you can still be in the same section (e.g. Sunrise, etc...) but there is no guarantee that any of the rooms will be close to one another.  I am sure your TA can request that the rooms be close to one another, but be prepared to possibly be in separate buildings in your section.  If I had to take a guess, the resort view could be in a totally different building than the ocean view rooms.  But I think as long as you guys are in the same section, it shouldn't matter too much!

You can use itunes to burn a CD. Not sure if it will work on a CD player but what you can do is burn it from itunes then rip the CD using Windows Media Player (given you are using a PC and not a MAC). This is what I do to get all my itunes music to convert to MP3s that work anywhere. Once you get the songs ripped onto your computer as Mp3s then you can burn a CD that will play anywhere.

Hope this helps. If you need more help let me know.

The size of the resort was a concern for me too. However, I looked at some reviews and people seem to be saying that it is not hard to get dinner reservations at Moon Palace each night (which can be a major problem at resorts of this size), there are lots of chairs at the beach and pool, and there is a great vibe to this resort regardless of the size. I was looking into Now Sapphire also, which is a smaller resort but I felt that there would not be enough to do for everyone. I have people from the ages of 5 to 90 coming to my wedding so I wanted to make sure there was something for everyone. You have to remember that even though it is huge they have more restaurants, more pool area, and more bars for people so that it coincides with the number of rooms. I personally love big resorts because you never have to leave the resort to find something to do.

                Hope this helps,

Happy resort hunting. I just made my final decision last month so I know it can be hard to pick one.

I'm still fairly new to this whole DW wedding planning world so excuse my ignorance :) I'm trying to get a few resorts together that I love in order to get some quotes for a winter 2013 wedding -- I have been reading lots of the boards on here and checking out individual resort websites and I think Moon Palace looks fantastic.  When I discussing it with FI he was worried about the size (i.e. number of guest rooms) at this resort compared to others.  He is wondering if the resort will be busy everywhere simply by the sheer number of people? Are the resort grounds spread out?  Friends just stayed at a different resort in January and loved it but the rooms were so far from everything they started using golf carts to get around in a more timely fashion, ha.

Can anyone who has been or has booked to MP let me know their thoughts on this - we both agree that a bigger resort will offer lots of amenities tho too, and if the resort is under capacity that means our guests will have lots of choices!

Thanks in advance for helping this newbie!

Hi guys!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Mine was oh so not that great!  UUGGHHH!!!  Too much never ending drama!  Found out that one friend (who I thought was a good friend) that was invited to my wedding, said she couldn't afford to come to it, was in Costa Rica the past week.  I found out at a baby shower on Saturday and I felt a total fool that everyone knew but me!  Then that very friend e-mailed me today to end our friendship.  Another friend e-mailed me and said she didn't like me putting her in the middle of that Costa Rica situation.  She brought it up on Saturday and said she didn't know about it and I said it's ok if she did and that it has nothing to do with her and she insisted she didn't know and it was dropped.   But again, today I got that e-mail from her asking me not to put her in the middle anymore.  .  I don't talk about these girls to one another, ever!!!  But this means they talk at length about me together, but I have no one to talk to about the betrayal I feel.  Then yesterday my older brother sent me a TEXT saying he wasn't sure he was coming to our wedding anymore.  I asked him why and he told me to ask my (younger) brother!  So talk about selfish.  My brother isn't going because he has some problem with the other brother!?  Never mind the fact the wedding has NOTHING to do with him.  The older brother pulls this crap all the time too!  I tried calling him, since he didn't have the decency to call me and he didn't answer.  I am so frustrated and upset!!!!!!    My best friend is my older sister and she won't even call me back as she is so tired of hearing about the friend drama and really hates hearing about sibling drama.  So, she is annoyed with me and that is why I am here venting/crying to you guys!  HA!!!  I do apologize, but I am the type that has to talk it out, or it will drive me batty!!!

Ugh Jamie, this is really sad that you are being put in this position. I swear weddings bring out the worst in people! Just know that it will be the best dayand week of your life so far and you and your FI matter the most. Anyone else is a bonus!! For those who cannot or choose not to attend, it is their loss!! I have friends who wanted me to have a DW before I was even engaged! They were 100% on board and now cant come. While Im sad they wont be there...they will miss not being there more than I will miss them. Im sure we will not be thinking of anyone who IS NOT there. They will have to see the pictures and hear the stories, and that will sit with them however they choose, and it will never cross your mind once you are home. Im sure of it!

I am having a hard time deciding on post-ceremony activities. As of now we have 26 people (including us) staying for 73 nights. I am thinking this will be it. Although, we are still waiting on another couple, who is waiting for a hefty tax refund? We are two nights away from unlimited functions and 7 free nights! But the 2 nights is killing us!! I mean if we stay 2 extra nights, we would get 3 more free and unlimited events???? It is crossing my FI's mind everyday. But I'm not even sure what we would do for the "events"?

So we have qualified for a free function and I'm still not sure what I want to do post our 6pm ceremony? Dinner Reservation and a 2 hour private after party?? Or have a 3 hour function with dinner Maybe throw the bartender some cash to stay and save the reservation for another night? We only have a MOH and BM so we wont have a rehearsal or anything? I also want our guests who are mostly staying 4 nights to have their own time...

What are the big $$ items for a function? And what other "events" to you have?

I don't know why this is giving me such grief???
