Yes, you do get alot of contradicting information.  In the new and updated wedding pack it does state resort credit can be used on spa and salon treatments.  I forwarded Karla the link.  However, she was still adamant thatresort credit could not be used on salon services.  She sent me a Spa pack.  As she recommended Spa treaments should be booked in advance.  I have done this as me and all the girls are going to have some treaments the morning of the wedding.  We have $2500 resort credit per room to use.  We can use upto $500 on spa treatments.  I am getting married on 8th may 2012.  Fly out on the 30th April.  I have been in touch with the Florida based wedding co ordinator.  Her name is Beatriz Santana.  She has been very helpful.  I have booked the diamond package.  As I have 84+ room nights booked I also qualify for unlimited private functions.  We are having the ceremony in the Tucan Gazebo.  The cocktail hour directly after the ceremony on the Tucan terrace.  I have reserved the Carribean terrace for the wedding reception.  I have decided on the Metallic sands collection by Colin Cowe for the decor.  My colour theme is silver.  I have a firework display. Mariachi band for reception. I am so excited! Beatriz has sent me loads of downloads.  I have pictures of wedding locations.  Menu options, platted and buffet.  Spa and salon pack.  Centrepieces options and prices brochures.  Deco cancun services. The new wedding PDF I found very helpful. Full of useful informations. The new wedding brochure for 2012, including the new Colin Cowe collection.  If anyone would like me to email you a copy of anything, please let me know your email address.  I am located in the UK.  I live in Liverpool.  Yes, where the Beatles where from. He he!!!.  Here to help because I know how stressful it can be.

I found my photog on this site, there are tons of reviews on here of different vendors in general.  I found they are super responsive and quick.  They will give you quotes and you can go from there.  You can also ask us again once you have narrowed it down on who we are using, etc....

But if you want some names, here are just a few in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area:

              Del Sol

              La Luna

              Octavio Montes

              Gonzalo Nunez

              Sascha Gluck

              Ismael Pacheco

              Ivan Luckie

All the above are great.  But they vary in price, so it depends on your budget...  :)

              Good Luck and Happy planning!

Thanks Coco for passing this info along.  I was getting worried after seeing the other posts saying we had to cover this up front.

Here is the email Janina sent to me today.  I also confirmed with my TA since my group contract is directly between Liberty Travel & Moon Palace.

                Good afternoon Ms. Chanel,

The way we know you get amenities is because of the amount of nights you reach with your room contract sign.

If you are entitle to a cocktail party we will cover the 1 hour cocktail, private area, open bar and appetizers, you wont have to pay this in advance because you have reach the nights required as per contract.

If you wish additional services like flowers, decorations etc, this will be additional.

A wedding planner will be helping you with all your event arrangements and payments for services.

                Regards J

                Janina

Did any of you purchase wedding insurance? I was reading about it and curious if anyone does this.

I guess things change all the time at MP but it might not hurt to double check with her so you don't have to spend extra money! When is your wedding?? :)

I received a check from my cousin in the amount of $300 which will not only cover the cost of the dress $268, but also the brooch.  Case of the "cousin, bridesmaid drama" is officially closed!  As long as the check don't bounce
