I can go on and on but for the sake of time and forum space will not.  Although we will not have our new family addition home for Christmas, we will be with him every step of the way via pictures, updates and visits as often as we would like.  So on Sunday the 18th at 3pm we will continue our journey by visiting the mom & dad along with 7 puppies (4 of which are male).  Jeremiah (my son) is so excited to be able to pick from the 4 males and he will be the first (besides the family) to have laid eyes on the little ones who were born Nov 22, 2011 to Cassius and Lily.  I introduce to you, Shakespere, Angus, Brutus and Phoenix (names giving by their caretakes as pup 1 etc.. was not an option).

I will definitely follow-up on Sunday after our 3pm visit.

Have a grand day my friends!

        Hey Ladies,

First I SOOOOOOO want to thank each of your for your words off encouragement and for "having my back" It's amazing what we as women have come together to get done and we have never laid eyes on each other.  THANK YOU for making this forum, DIYing, etc.. so much fun.  You ladies don't know how much I look forward to sharing with the ladies of the MP2012 forum. Each of you ROCK!

Well, ladies I grabbed me a six pack of Stella (taking a quick weekend break- well okay maybe a day break from my Hennessy), and I'm going to respond to a few breeders and then chill out.  BTW I ordered a ton of doggie stuff from Amazon (I was comparing prices from ebay to amazon), and I also ordered my lil man the new DC 52 comic book set (yup he will get 52 comic books).  I wanted to have a lil more under well around our "non tree" I also set-up for my god children to come over Christmas night so they can all play with the puppy etc..  so I ordered their gifts as well.  And guess what for all the items that I purchased I paid $205.  Sweet...

        Have a great weekend ladies.

Me too. My MOH has been doing all the calling, but they won't give her any information. I would really like to have the reception outside, but I think maybe just cocktails outside, then dinner inside.

Think ceremony and cocktail hour outside (4pm ceremony) but the reception inside (so it can be air conditioned, easier on the older folks in our party). Would also like them all fairly close together, again to make it easier on the older folks.
Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Well I'm working with Geraldine Flores through Lynn's membership and she wouldn't budge so I emailed her boss and said how frustrated I was since I was not told that with a membership people would have to pay up front and that no one told me my previous SIGNED contract was no longer valid so she took care of it and said we could do the 20% deposit then pay in full 30 days prior to arrival.

I also am using Marvin since his prices are half that of the resort's

I will definitely call MP tomorrow and try to fight for my locations. I want to get married on the beach and def don't want to take the chance of losing that opportunity.

What is everyone doing for their bridesmaids flowers? I had a huge argument w one of my BM bc I wanted to make my bouquets instead of paying the $80-$100 the resort charges and my BM told me they would look ridiculous.

I had a shower over the summer and I wanted to keep it simple because of the costs of the wedding.  And my mom also didn't want to stress my girl's out so she didn't expect any money from them and instead just wanted them to help set up and clean up.  We had it at my parent's house and my mom made the food to keep costs down so that could be an option instead of having to rent out a space?

Its a big expense that isn't really needed.  Did you all have showers?? I just feel like if they throw one they won't have the $ for cancun and I would obviously much rather them there!!  Opinions ladies??

Thanks YWS2012 for validating my feelings.  I still have mixed feelings, esp now that I know my ring cannot be enlarged.  There is a beautiful alternative at the store.  I just went and FI and I will go after he gets off work.  It may still be below what he spent on her as I cannot see the need for anything that $$$ but I will be more than satisfied.  I'm sad that the miscommunication happened in the first place but I think we no longer have hard feelings about it.  And the little girl inside of me jumps for joy at the sight of that ring.

                    Hey Ladies,

I'm just getting back on here after about a week off since it was my birthday so I put aside wedding planning for a bit!  And I needed a break since (here comes the venting) we just found out for sure that my fiance's family isn't coming to the wedding.  And when I say we found out I mean that I got back the RSVP reply with no!!!  Not even a phone call or anything to apologize- I guess to them its no big deal that their oldest child is getting married!  I just feel horrible for my fiance, but he says he is ok with it because this is how they are.  They have used every excuse to get out of it- his mom doesn't like to fly, his dad doesn't think Mexico is safe, they don't have the money, they have to help his brother with money for his surgery he doesn't have scheduled, etc.  Basically they don't want to go because it is outside their comfort zone.  I wish they could have sucked it up for their son and even just came for a few days.  Then my fiance talked to his mom about maybe financially helping his brother come and what the options could be, but she said not to since he isn't really concerned about coming.  I guess its hard for me to understand this because my family, who are not as financially well off, would do anything to be there and wouldn't miss it for the world.  Hopefully my family's support and our friend's is enough for my fiance because they all love us very much.  Ahhh sorry for the vent!

                    Anyways....

LOVE love LOVE all of your DIY projects!!!  Very impressed and I'm sure your guests will be also with all of your hard work!   I need to get cracking! haha

Ugh why are people so afraid of this!!  I mean you are just as safe, if not more safe lying around Moon Palace then you are walking down some streets in America!  I'm sooo sorry to hear they feel this way.  No matter what the FI says I'm sure you feel awful!  And what a way to start the rest of your life's relationship with them!  Please, vent away lady!! That's what we're here for!!
