ooh and I got my ideas from this website of course!!! The passport inspiration came from MochaMakes3! I didn't use templates because none of them wanted to work the way I wanted them to...so I did mostly everything from scratch... I just have to say that I love powerpoint... But I definitely got my ideas from all over this forum!!! THANK YOU!!!

Very very nice!!! These are really pretty & I love the postcard.

So a week from Monday I am having some of my bridesmaids over to help put together the invites since it is very involved!! But I decided to make one start to finish (minus the stamp/address label) so that everyone could see what the finished product will look like. I took some pictures with my iPhone so here they are...

(I made "postcards" with information about the resort credit because when I started making the invites I wasn't sure if it was going to be extended or not so I did not put the info about it in the passport and then when I found out they were extending it, I didn't have any room inside the passport so I decided just to add it separately...it may give the people that are undecided about coming the added incentive to come!!)

Well, this morning  @ approximately 6:45 a.m. my printer love and I worked together to produce the final version of our wedding menu.  So of course once I got home, & while the little one is doing homework I started to cut these babies apart (3 menus were printed on a page & I printed 20 pages).  So already tired, there was no way that I could go through a second cutting to make sure I didn't cut the border.. ugh... So I only did 2 so that I can show you ladies what will be my project Thursday and Friday.  FI & I are happy with the results and even more happier because I may not have to use Sarah from Sprouille Designs for these things...  Can you say "saving money"

So without further ado, here are our menus.  The food is based on our choice of the Tex Mex Buffet. I have to go to bed... Nite ladies

Well ladies,

Although I added on 2-4 small (very small) DIY projects, I can scratch off 2.  1)  I made Cocktail Hour Menus (to coordinate with our reception menus).  Will post once I get home and add our BB's (Butterflies and Bling).  2) I also made our "notecards" for our guestbook.  Once I get FI's approval, I will find the right paper to print these on..  The notecards will be for our guest to write well wishes to the bride and groom.  I'm still playing around with the actual Guestbook......

TGIF & Have a great weekend.

Well date nite with FI is cancelled since he had to work late.....but no worries since we have a wedding to plan for right ;-)

So as promised from earlier here is a picture of our cocktail menu which is based off of the Superior Hor D'Oeuvres.  We are not decorating much for the cocktail hour (well it is only an hour) however; there must be a splash of color.  So, of course these menus along with our butterflies will help us out here.  I made these smaller and wider than our other menus & placed the butterfly in a different area.  However; the key for me was to make sure that it tied in with our dinner menus.

Here are  the dinner menus adorned with the 4D butterflies.  After these dry, I will begin to add the white Swarovski Crystals to the head and tail of the butterfly.

Happy DIYing

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
