Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Another thing, my FI and I bought our wedding rings yesterday! I am so excited! Josh isn't completely thrilled about wearing a ring since he's not big on jewelry (is any man?) and we even tossed around the idea of him tattooing a ring on his finger instead, but I couldn't budge on it. I really wanted him to have one. So I made it my one required thing for him since he required that I change my last name (which I planned on anyway). Too bad I don't get to wear it for another seven months.. oh well.

Leenancy, That is so crazy about work! Hopefully things have calmed down. Your invites look awesome! Let's try to reschedule getting that glass of wine!

Oh and yes, I do realize I spelled "perforated" wrong on the RSVP ticket. LOL, I was so excited to see it on paper that I forgot to fix it.

Thanks for all the support ladies. You guys are right I went back ti a different shop today and tried on some other Maggie destinations dresses that I was really psyched about and saved the Adorae for last and it still made me tingly in a way the others couldn't compete with and the girl helping me was also very enthusiastic about that dress...sorry mom lol. I ordered it and I am so excited to check off dress, lol.

You guys are inspiring mr on the DIY's but I hate not knowing how many I need and making or getting too many/too little so I am making a list and will wait a little bit.

For the girls having trouble getting a coordinator I sent a detailed letter with about 10 questions with different parts mostly about the locations and they quickly passed me off lol. Make it specific like what chapel is close to such and such terrace or how much would it be if I skipped cocktail hour and did reception instead or ask what bars are close to which terraces ..they don't know that in Miami.

I found my hair inspiration today with a diamon headband that matches my maggie belt. I just love it and since everyone complains about the wind I don't want to do a veil and I really wanted it down but i don't want it bad for pics so this is my compromise :

Hey FutureMrsHammer,

WE missed you!!!  Wishing you much success with the new job and school!  I know it all seems like so much and well that's because it is, but I'm sure that you can handle it.  Let us know if you need any templates or tips and I'll be sure to send them your way.

Congrats on booking your photog & make-up artist that's a big relief!!  As far as your real touch definitely look at pricing they can be just as expensive than the real deal.....but the upside is that you can bring them back with you.

So I have been slacking in the wedding planning department!! You all seem to have soo much done already woot.gifand all of your DIY's turned out awesome!

I did get my dress and it is already in!! They told me it would take at least 8 months and it ended up coming in within 2!!

I am attempting to make DIY passport invites but it is very frustrating to me because I am not the most "crafty" person and I want them to look nice but it doesn't seem to be working right now... I saw MochaMakes3's passports and that's what really made me want to try to do them as well because her's look soooo awesome!!! But anyway I am taking a break from them and just ignoring it for right now because it is so frustrating...not the best plan I know but I am a procrastinator! embarrest.gif

Along with the passport's I am doing a boarding pass RSVP and those came out much better than the passports so far! (I will eventually post pics I swear!!)

I have a few items for OOT's but I still want to get some ibuprofen, sunblock, chapstick etc. Right now I have the bag's that I got from oriental trading co and they say "All you need...is LOVE" on them and each bag is a different color. I have some travel games, sudoku, hand sanitizer, crossword puzzles, room key/tip holders (I borrowed that from Tissey), ummmm and I think that's all I have for now..? Drawing a blank...

So for the most part I am just putting off doing projects because of school which is taking up waaayyy too much of my time right now smile27.gif..... I do not have locations booked or menus or anything!! I have asked Geraldine multiple times if I can book locations and she claims she sent my e-mail's to Iliana but I have not heard anything from her at all...I wish the communication process was smoother...but what can you do?!

Keep up the good work everyone - you guys are all doing AWESOME!!!cheer2.gif

LeeNancy,

you did an awesome job on your boarding passes! GREAT JOB.  I'm glad that you were able to get things sorted out with work...sheesh!!  Don't get me in trouble with the FI ;-)  IF there's any comfort Derick (my FI) put his foot down long time ago so anything that I post are current projects that I had to put on hold to print (until our new printer at work was up and running).  Dang FI's ;-) but as he said which I shared with another BDW bride "think about the things that you wouldn't throw away, things that you would want to keep and brag to others about.  Those are the things to include and all that other stuff, well trash it."  LOL   which although mad at the time, he actually made since (which he typically does) its just that I may not want to hear it... it's the Type A Aries in me angel1.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
