Don't give up on it! That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.  Nowhere on their site does it list ANY exclusions on beauty salon services.  I took screen shots of all of the fine print if you need it.  I had to battle with them to get them to honor the resort credits being used toward videography since I booked my wedding with them prior to the change.  The one person who seemed to be able to get things done was Ro Lopez who runs the Palace Facebook page.  I would complain on that.  I know I will be if they come back and say we can't use it.  The resort credits are a MAJOR reason I picked Palace

Thanks ndvidul,

I'll share my rough draft/starter templates with anyone.  However; since our backing was customed made for us, our "finished tempates" will not be shared and/ will have the backing removed. If that's okay with you, I'll pm you once I am home

I think its maybe been a week or so since I have been on here and BAM there are like 50+ new posts to read! You guys have been busy busy bees! Ok, so I have finally gotten my act together and taken pictures of our invites! I should be sending them out tomorrow. There are a few people I hand delivered these to, and my Uncle Mark for instance said "I think this is the coolest wedding invitation I have EVER seen"! YAY!!! Score!!! Now lets hope that it will inspire my guests to get there butts in gear and BOOK a dang room already! 141 days to go and hardly ANYONE has even put their initial deposit down....I'm flyin blind here!

Well I will be leaving this Sat for MT to see my parents and hopefully get some wedding stuff done. I think we are going to try and match up some chair sash samples to fabric for the table runners I want to make, maybe experiment with Wonder Vases for centerpieces, OOT bag items (no sales tax in MT!!), and maybe do some paper crafts like labels or guest book table sign.

Here are some pics I took of my Passport Invites + Boarding Pass RSVP postcard, and Envelope (sorry about the bad quality/color...my camera is misbehaving)!

Hola fellow MP Brides:

A few of you have asked for me to post my templates but I honestly have tons (things that I have picked up along the way to see if I would use, those that I will use and helping others to plan their DW, and those that I have modified and/or made to become our very own).  Because of this, I will be more than happy to share templates but won't simply post random templates.  If you are looking for something specific please PM me and I will be more than happy to share what I have!  Please keep in mind that if you ask for anything that I did personally it will come with the backing/monograms removed as it coordiatoes with our STDs & Invites that was made espeically for FI & I.

I may just go to my fave store - White House Black Market and see what cute things they have!  (Still have $10 off coupon for my bday! haha)  If you want your FI to be surprised both times, what do you think you'll wear?

Congrats!!!  So exciting!!!!  :)

I felt very strange waiting at the JP and it was very quick and non formal. Even though he wanted to do it, my FI did not want to make it a big deal and was surprised when I wanted him to wear dress pants ( and he likes to dress up!). I am not going to change my name until we get back and our anniversary is still going to be in June. It's kind of a fun secret though :)

Leenancy, I actually think that is a great idea, it pains me to buy a day pass for 2 people for hair and make-up.  Keep me posted on what you do.  As I may book Sara too!!!  And of course anything to save money!

I'm looking into Sara Tamargo. In my case, I'll probably end up paying for a room for my photographer anyway so I'm wondering... do you think I can get away with booking a double room under my photographer's name and Sara's so that she can get in the resort as my guest? That way I'm pretty much shooting two birds with one stone. What do you ladies think?

Coconoir1908!!  You are awesome!  A low key weekend is well deserved!  But you also go so much done~  I seriously feel like I don't have anything done!  Oh wait, I really don't!!  HAHAHAHAHA

This has been a great low key weekend where I was actually able to be lazy for a spell (YES) this is so overdue.  But on that note, I also concentrated the "non-lazy spells" (I'm so not good at actually being lazy unless I'm sick) on our Pre-Travel Boarding passes so I am excited to say that I have 2 more pages to go.  YAY!  For my weekend purchases (I love the computer) that I can check off the list are the following:

  • Garter
  • Veil
  • Cake Server which also include 2 forks
  • 3 DVD's (All about planes) & blue ray player for my soon to be 11yr old son (future engineer possibly in the AirForce) birthday coming up on 10/17
  • Playstation 3 for FI's birthday coming up on 10/22

Fun Fact:

Since my son and FI's bday is only a few days apart and both in Oct.  Our wedding date was chosen in April so that I could have two things.  My bday is 4/5 and our wedding date is 4/21 TeeHee that way he can't forget LOL

Happy Planning

I love the invites!!!  They look amazing!!!  YAY!!!

I love your invites! And I really like that you have a boarding pass for the RSVP cards! Who did them and were they costly?  I really want to do passport invites, but I'm afraid they will be really expensive!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
