Moon Palace 2012 Brides

You can also play after 2:30 for $160.  My husband and I are playing one full price round & 2 twilight priced rounds with our resort credit--which leaves just about $300 (the max for the spa).  We're bringing our own clubs since it's just $50 for an extra piece of luggage (vs. the $150 we'd have to pay MP to rent 3 times).

The Resort Dollar promotion is great for golf!  The main reason we're going back this year (we leave tomorrow!) is because the Resort Dollar promotion is still ongoing & we can get so much free golf!

There is a link to the golf rates on the palaceresorts website.  Here you go:  http://www.palaceresorts.com/resorts/moon-palace/golf/packages

Just  checking in to see how everyone is doing?  Well let me say that I have checked off the following over the last 2 weeks:

*Make-up artist (no longer flying mine from Philly): Mexico artist booked Norma Perez (I had a hard time picking between her and Sara Tamagro sister of Sol from DelSol Photography.) Both of there work was very nice, however; Norma had more pictures of brides she has done for me to view.

*I purchased my bridesmaids dresses (my gift to them) these are the convertible signature dress made by Butter by Nadia.  I also purchased the ball gown length of the same color as my MOH to use for my TDD.  I didn't want to do my TTD in a white.

*Ordered sample sand to see what colors we were using for our sand ceremony.  FI and I chose the colors and I will order next week.

*My something blue shoes are ordered and on their way.  I chosen the Christian Louboutin Open Lips.  (I posted these in the show me your shoes forum)

*Going to the Lazaro trunk show on the 30th to meet the designer Lazaro himself, to purchase my dress & have him sketch me in the dress..  I'm so dying for next week to come.

*Next week will order 2 suits from StudioSuits to see which one FI will use for the wedding.  From there we will order the groomsmen suits which is FI's gift to them.

Well I think that is it for me ;-)

We're thinking of having our wedding mid week (on a Wednesday).  MP policy says we have to be there 3 business days prior before 12 noon. (which means Saturday)... I'm worried about trying to grab a flight to get there before noon direct from Toronto to Cancun. =(

Are we going to have to fly out Friday night and spend the night at the airport?

woo hoo! It feels so good to accomplish wedding things! Did you purchase your fiances band at a Jeweler? I have heard of people ordering them online because they are cheaper...We were able to pick our AHR venue this weekend! which is a huge relief! We are doing it about a month after our actual wedding and it will be Mexican food, like a fiesta!

Hey Ladies,

Congrats on all the tasks being checked off on the list.  Doesn't it feel grand?

I posted in post #896 all that was going on with me. However; an update from the list is that I actually picked up the BM gowns (including my TTD dress) on Saturday.  Too exciting.  I've also finished our luggage tags, key coils and first aid kits.

This Saturday off to the Trunk Show and to officially say YES

Well after COUNTLESS reschedules due to the crappy weather, we finally got our engagement pictures done yesterday! I'm so excited to see how they turn out! Our photographer was awesome and even though the location we chose ended up being PACKED (since it was like the first hot sunny day we've had), we worked it and I think got some amazing shots! I didn't get to wear one of the main outfits I was planning on wearing though which was a bummer. We brought 3 changes of clothes (the 3rd set was a last minute "casual" clothes grab) and ended up only getting in 2 changes. I actually wore the last minute outfit that I wasn't planning on wearing...and I was having one of those "fat" days, so I'm hoping I don't look lumpy/uncomfortable! LOL

I have made my business cards that will go inside our luggage tags, and will be ordering those soon. HOWEVER, I'm not sure what to use for the string that they will be able to attach to their luggage! I bought some of the hard plastic tags, and they don't come with anything! Any ideas?

I'm also trying to work on our Pre-Travel brochures, but I'm having a hard time being creative enough! I have to say I am not the best when it comes to Office or Word!

Other than that, I'm just trying to compile my list of questions for Janina! I'm trying to cover EVERYTHING so I can have all the questions answered in one email. Any questions you can think of that could be helpful??

Krsmith,

I can't wait to see your pictures!  And don't worry abou the feeling fat days (we all have them) because as you said "yall rocked the pictures."  Ditto on the brochure, this is something that I am totally not excited about ;-() but, needs to get done.

As far a the luggae tags I purchased the loops as well from an online site (I'll get it once I get home and send).  However, I found the exact same ones on amazon.  http://www.amazon.com/Clear-Plastic-Luggage-Tag-Loops/dp/B002ZVK8MC

hope this helps

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
