Hammer, try not to panic too much. I went through the same frustration when I was booking for my March 2012 wedding. I kept getting the same "quote" that they couldn't guarantee the next promotion as the current one was going to be ending before my travel dates. In the end the same promotion was replicated just with different dates. It's one of the little "games" I think they play in hopes that we and our guests pay quicker. I trust it will all work out alright.

I agree about not panicing but the 2009 promotion was different than the 2010 promotion and they carried over the 2010 promotion to 2011 and 2012 and it has only gotten better IMO with more options and everything.  I don't think I consider it a game, but I think they do try to change up the promotions to get people in.  One of the main reasons I chose the palace resorts is because of this promotion and the opportunity for my guests to do tours and dolphin swims and everything without having to pay anything extra to do it.  It's a fabulous promotion and they know it is, so even if they don't use the same promo they have usually had something similar.

We are at Moon Palace, getting married tomorrow. The resort is gorgeous. Would be nice if the wedding department hadn't lost my wedding dress. One last chance to find it tomorrow.

 

Expect not so great reviews from me on the resort's wedding department.

 

Wish me luck! (If I wasn't bloated from the heat and drinks, maybe I could get married in my white bikini? Maybe not...)

OMG!  I can't believe that? How could they lose your dress?

I seriously want to go down there and kick their a$$es for you.  That is not cool at all, were they pressing it or something?  I pray that your dress is there when you need it.    Keep us updated

Thanks, I will look into a TA. I'm not using one right now because my mom is a member at the palace bt I should look to see if they can get better rates!

are you using a travel agent or are you booking direct through the resort?  My TA (contract) only requires a $100.00 deposit per person w/final payment due by 2/1/12 for my April 2012 wedding.  We paid for the initial deposit but as people book that cost gets deducted from our final payment.  I am not sure if you've thought about a travel agent, but that might be a better option if you are really focused on that promotion.  I will say it is a great promotion as we used it at FSIL wedding last October, and they carried it over to this year, but it is not guaranteed.  Also there is a minimum stay requirement for that promotion of 3 nights so if that is a concern as well, I would look into it.

I'm sure it will all work out. It's just nice to vent every once in a while lol I'm just trying not to stress out about it.

Hi Ladies! Would you mind if I crash your thread? I'm getting married April 28, 2012 at the Cancun Palace and there is very little information out there, but tons on the Moon Palace. Your experiences have been/are tremendously helpful!!!

 

On a sidenote: I'm concerned about the promotion as well. Has anyone else signed a group agreement with a TA?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
