My coordinator said the private events were 2 hours plus the add'l cost per table each hour is $60.  Unlimited for the wedding day would include a 1 hour cocktail and a 2 hour reception.

Which is correct if you booked after March 1st- prior to that everything was unlimited hours- full reception(3-4 hrs depending) and 1 hr cocktail.

Interesting because I did book prior to march 1!  I booked end of Feb!

Hmm..maybe the exact date isn't March 1st then, or otherwise they are trying to jip everyone off because we didn't sign a contract.  So annoying!!

I received a similar email from Michele Farinas today...

At least she told you who your contact person was and that she would be forwarding everything on, my miami contact told my new WC NOTHING!  So I'm basically starting from scratch and arguing!

I am using JSAV. My friends were married at Aventura Spa Palace 2 years ago and used their services and were super happy with it so we figured we would use them as well, we picked the biggest package so we get everything possible for the reception since we want to party hard!!! They just sent me an email to confirm everything.

do you know what kind of services the DJ offers?  Does it include lights, props, do they need you to provide the music?  The contract they sent me does not describe any of that, mainly just the equipment provided and a DJ service.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
