Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Catwoman,

Many past, present and future brides have chosen to share their experiences albeit good, bad or indifferent!  I find it rather rude and insulting that you may comment on someone knowing "proper English" as it doesn't matter the language that one may speak, when RUDE is JUST that no matter the language when someone doesn't get back to you when planning a very important day.  So, if you would like to sing Joannis praises then by all means do so, but this can be done without being an bootyshake.gif

I had a terrible time with my coordinator on site, Lily. My planner in Miami, Joannis, has even sent me follow up messages to see how everything went, I'm planning on sending her photos soon!

If I comment further, I very well may be band from this site. Not sure where you were in the prior post of the MP2012 site, but with your comments it seems that you were absent so who care what YOU find to be silly... UGH

The process, as explained to myself was that the wedding is turned over to the coordinator once everything is finalized. I'd much rather trust someone in America than someone in a third world country...all of the fraud has been found to be routed from there, anyway, as payments post from the resort once the planner sends it for processing. Under the proposal that Joannis sent me, it does state:

* Items listed are not confirmed until FULL payment has been made on each item.

* Final payment is due 45 days prior to arrival. Any items purchased within 45 days of arrival are subject to availability

Policies may have changed since the new collections are out now, and they do have a bit of a mess with that since a lot of them are not available when they are stated to be on the site. This is the resort's fault of course, though. I had a wonderful time, and nothing has come back to haunt me afterwards either. My opinion is, if I can't trust someone from a company with my money, I wouldn't want to have something as important as my wedding to be handled by the company in general. I had generosity from both Joannis and Janina, and I would recommend either of them to future brides that have an open mind.

I completely agree coco..this lady is FUSTRATING beyond belief..maybe we should get her banned! Anyone who has EVER looked at this thread knows the fustration we go through with the Miami office..she apparently must be God's gift and has had the ultimate experience with the Miami office..

IIIIIIIII'MMMMMMM BAAAACCCCKKK!! Like all other brides have said the wedding was AMAZING and everything was PERFECT! Zaray was an delight to work with and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect event. I'll post my review later once I get pics from the photographer and friends. As I looked back through my own camera I didn't take too many pictures, I guess I was just enjoying the time we had there too much! But here's on that was taken by my cousin on her phone sometime after the wedding. wedding day.JPG

If you have any questions in the mean time please don't hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to give tips or whatever. I will say this though.......set up price is DEFINITELY negotiable!!! I didn't pay one dime for set up!!! And Zaray said it was because I was so easy to work with and had very little to set up. So if you want to save money be nice to your coordinators and don't take a lot of stuff to set up. I tipped her very well in the end to show my appreciation it was well worth it! My advice is try not to sweat

It looks like there has been a lot of activity on here concerning the Miami office. I wouldn't pay one cent to them before you leave. They bill everything to your room at the resort. Joannis seems to be the only one doing this & her name is the only one popping up with the fraud cc charges......sounds fishy to me. Anytime I had questions and the Miami coordinator wouldn't respond I asked Janina there. I believe she's a manager so feel free to email her. She's awesome!

I hope that everyone has a great week of planning. Congrats to Summer12I I think I saw you at the spa/salon after your hair appt. We were heading in for our massages and then missed your wedding since we didn't make it back over there before 6:30. Your pics on FB look great! Beautiful bride!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
