Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Oh ya- good point- I made it clear to them that MP does not allow outside vendors.....I didn't know there was a gate though.....how does Marvin get in?  Maybe I should just patiently wait for Marvin- I am just so frustrated with him because when he does email me after a month of no response, he basically sends me an email with the same picture he sent the last time and said he "changed it to what I asked" which clearly he did not do.  Ugh, lol.

Question for all the recent brides- what did you do about the bridesmaid's wristbands?  Do they put them on loose enough that they can slip them off for the wedding?  I don't want the tacky bracelets to be in my pics! I know someone mentioned before only the bride and groom can remove theirs!

Coco- I think I'd rather see your MP review first, but I have plenty of time, so whatever the May/June brides say! :)

Anyone in the bridal party can cut off their bracelet and they will replace it at the front desk as long as you still have it. I suggest having them put it in their safe in their room so no one's gets mixed up and it is safe since there are serial numbers on them that correlate with your room.

MP is very safe in that there is a gate so nobody can just drive in there. When we went to our Jungle Tour and Cuncrawl- we were stopped at the gate and the guy wrote down a bunch of our numbers on our bracelet there and back.

They can?!! Yaay!! That is good news! :) I will tell them to put it in their safe! Thank you! :)

That's good to know they are safe....guess I need to find someone that has been to Sun to see if they do the same sort of thing!

shan0487 thanks for the flower contact. She gave me a very reasonable quote. Less than a $100 for 3 bridesmaids bouquets and delivery charge. But now I worry a little if they can get in the gate. I'm going to email her to ask if they have delivered there before. I'll let you know what I find out.

Cynthia28 - if you are looking for the boarding pass type invitations PM me and I'll send mine to you if you would like.

Coco - MP review first, I'm like Summer12 I like those the best. Thanks for the heads up on the gate issue for the flower delivery! I would have probably gone bridezilla on the day of if they couldn't get through. Ha! You flowers were so pretty. I might have to try and contact Marvin again depending on what the other place says about delivering to MP before.

I started the 30 Day Shred this week and let me tell ya my muscles are screaming at me after 2 days of it, but it's all going to be worth it when it's over and that dress is fitting like a glove. After looking at the pictures from trying it on I saw a little back fat and that was TOTALLY NOT HOT!! So it's on like donkey kong and I'm making that fat cry every day until we leave! Which is 41 days away!

Awesome, let me know what they say! I'll email them this weekend and see what they say to me!

I love Jillian Videos!!! I started the 30 day shred last summer for a friend's wedding I was in.  I've since done 5 other videos! It will be worth it! I am only sore the first 2-3 days after I start a new level! If you have time after the shred, I really recommend the Ripped in 30 video! :)

Coco what size blume boxes did you get? I was wondering how that worked out for you but looks like not so well. I seem to remember maybe it was Kelly that also used them and it didn't turn out so well. Was it just the length that was the issue or fitting inside them too?

1 Bridal bouquet $125

6 Brides bouquet (to be used as centerpieces when they ladies entered) $45.00 a piece total $270

2 bouts for the Groom and best man $15.00 each total $30

4 bouts for groomsmen and my uncle 15.00 each total $60

2 Mother's corsages $20.00 each total $40.00

Total $525 + 25 delivery charge.

These are iPhone pictures but Ivan I'm sure captured them all... I won't have professional pics till June

Mine is the one with the roses.. I used this as my through away bouquet.  Just a thought!!!  Don't purchase a bridal bouquet through Marvin unless MP can't give you what you want!  I loved my roses from MP and used those instead.

FYI Marvins stems are pretty long..so blume boxes are not ideal!!!  If you really want to use blume boxes be sure to bring your own cutters just in case.  I also told him I needed them at 1 but my wedding didn't start until 5.... I allowed for delays etc.. in this ;-)

Id like the MP review first as well, since thats the one thing we all have in common!

As for the 360 degree slideshow....it makes me think the place is even bigger than I thought.....do you really need shuttles...I like to walk, but yikes....my guests may not.

I totally agree, but unfortunately Michelle is the only one for the most part to get back to you!!! I'm 4 wks away from my wedding , 3 wks before we fly out and have been trying to get the address to the resort To ship out some items I don't want to log with me on the plane....and can't get a straight answer....soo frustrating!!! I could scream:eek: If I could do over, Id pass on the moon palace....I know there are certain stresses that go along w planning a wedding but this is ridiculous!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
