Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

My wedding was at 4P.  Our appointments started at 12:00p...we were out of there by 2:30P, and in the room by 2:45P.  WC comes 15 minutes before the wedding to push you out of the room.  We had a good hour for getting ready photos, and I even put makeup on a flower girl, so go from there.  I tried to move my appointments as close as I could because I didn't want my hair to fall.  My hair is REALLY heavy, and I wanted it to be curly.  I was completely wind blown by the end of cocktail hour, but it made it.  :)

Thanks Jamie:/) We are at the airport, flight at 9:45!! Ladies make sure you check baggage fees and pack well. Was almost able to check only 4 bags (who actually remembers what's in each bag)? Well my cake server was in the one we were going to check so the options were after everyone said congratulations were to leave it it check my bag. You know what I chose!! But the 3rd bag is $125 us air. I was prepared but I should have separated the set and put the knife on a checked bag which would have saved $125 a6937b18-5671-7c17.jpg

Congrats to all you ladies getting married this week! There are a few of you! Yay! Can't wait to hear about all your weddings!

Good luck to all the brides this week....

I had a 4PM ceremony and started my hair and make up at 11AM. They give you 1 and a half hour for the hair (which I needed but i have a lot of hair) and than I had a 12:30 makeup appointment which they give u 1 hour for and I needed that as well. So I was done at 1:30 and was able to watch over my daughter's makeup for a little and than go get lunch. I got to my room at 2:15 and was ready for my photographer at 3 with no sweating and rushing and I felt very calm. If I would have started at 12 like everyone had suggested i would not have been done until 2:30 and been rushing to make the [photographer at 3 and get laced into my dress and not been able to eat anything. my hair and makeup were fine in the room it was when you get to the wind blowing beach that ur hair starts getting ripped up. Just try to pick a style that will not get completely destroyed from the wind. half up or to the side or updo and you will be fine ;). I suggest being ready early rather than freaking out that ur late. The make up and hair took everyone the full time except for the kids. 1 and a half hours for hair and an hour for make up. Good luck ;)

Thanks Dan & mpweddingplan!! Looks like it's smack dab in the middle. Guess you won't really know until you get there and see where you room is in the Nizuc area.

If you look at this map: http://www.palaceresorts.com/d/palaceresorts/media/PDF/MP_map975c86.pdf you can see it, labeled as #36.

Glad things are going well. Have a great time. Can't wait to hear about the wedding and see pics!

I can't remember who else has Zaray as their coordinator but I'm wondering if anyone has heard from her in the last couple of weeks? She was pretty good about responding but I have sent her several emails and haven't heard back from her in about 2 weeks now. I'm trying not to fret just yet but I was hoping to have everything lined out and my itinerary completed so I could take some of my OOT bags with me this weekend for a shower back home. I really don't want to have to mail the bags since we don't want to take extra bags to Mexico and I have no idea what I have done with the receipts for all the stuff. Grrrr! Mexico time sucks when you are trying to get things done. Wooooo saaaaaaawwwww!!!

I was wondering for any recent brides what type of room you reserved.  I originally reserved the concierge level, but now am wondering if I should do the ocean front level then use my resort dollars to upgrade.  Since there are restrictions on what you can use the dollars for, I would rather use them on something like a room upgrade.  My only thing is I'm wondering about the availability because we are taking a chance on not getting a concierge room.  Has anyone had any issue with not being able to upgrade due to availability.  And being there...is the concierge worth it?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
