Ugh, how annoying! I guess it's okay that I pay before- but I just don't want then to not show up or something and then I don't get my money back!

Who is Miroslavia- Is she a PSAV person?

Mrs. Arnote the pics look amazing! Can't wait to read all about it! Quick question for you....if the wind is really as bad as everyone says, should we maybe change our "on the beach" wedding plans? We were hoping to have the ceremony, cocktail reception and dinner recepetion on the beach....!

Also, my TA just told me yesterday that she has had a few brides convince the wedding coordinators on location to honor their booked guests, even if it was booked through a different TA.  I have no PERSONAL experience with this...and that would be hoping for a lot at the last minute, but if you are one of the brides that are really close to their nightly room count, just like everything else with the MP, you might as well ask!!! Good luck!

Congrats, you looked beautiful. I can't wait to read & see more pcs!!

Hola, chicas!  Finally back at work after the wedding and honeymoon!  Woohoo!  You may now officially address me as Mrs. Arnote (although it still sounds weird to hear it).  I will write a review as soon as a can get done sorting through all these pictures and uploading for family.  Everything was beautiful, well organized, etc.  I did show Kalena my emails when I met with her, and she told me Miami was incorrect, so plans changed a little once we were down there.  Small things, like we changed from the beach to the gazebo.  Nevertheless, be patient with them and roll with the punches.  As soon as I met Kalena, I loved her, and I did not spend another minute worrying about the wedding after the meeting.  There ended up being a note waiting for me at check-in letting me know when to meet with her.  My advice, don't even worry about trying to get ahold of Miami.  It's a waste of time.  Also, we used Photos in Cancun, and I couldn't be more happy.  They were absolutely wonderful, and gave me 3 DVDs (we did 4 hour wedding packaged and TTD) with about 2,500 pictures total.  It has taken me like, 10 hours to look at them all.  I'm done hogging the page now, but I thought I'd put up a few pictures to tide you girls over.  Keep in mind these haven't been editted, yet.  Oh, and Alberto did my hair and makeup.  I didn't even have to request him.  I think he did an absolutely fabulous job.  And the wind is 5 times worse than everyone says.  My bangs blew into my eyes the entire ceremony.

Congrats to all the new brides!  How exciting! And just yesterday, I was complaining about not hearing back from MArvin for the flowers.  I was just about to email him with the subject line you all suggested, then he popped up in my inbox!  He said my email went to spam!  So, I quick responded and told him what I was looking for and my wedding date.  So, hopefully I will hear back from him soon!  Today was my payment deadline date, so I have been chasing guests all day.  Its mid-night and the last one just emailed me to say she is going to send her payment.  I still have a few stragglers, so I am just praying to hit at least 60 room nights.  I'm totally traumatized that I didn't get the 75 room nights :-(  But, with all my last minute cancellations, I had to kiss that dream goodbye.

I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone knows:

1. If you use Zuniga, you don't have to pay the $200 per table set-up fee, right?

2. Does anyone have anything that tell you what the cake options are.  Flavors available, costs, etc.

3.  I'm doing an indoor reception (mid June wedding), do you know if they provide a sweetheart table, or will I need to order a special table from Zuniga.

4.  I was trying to figure out how much a welcome reception would cost.  Do they charge a certain amount per person?

I'm actually thinking of just using the Cowell collection for the reception.  When I did the numbers, it would really only be about $150 difference.  And that is my just guessing on the amount I would spend on centerpieces.  SInce my wedding is in June, it should be available.

Thanks for any help you all can provide.  I don't know what I would do without this website!

Hi nsg4629, I'm so glad things worked out (well starting to) for Marvin!! Try to reply as soon as you get something from him. 1.As far as Zuniga is concerned, I would ask Katie directly! She's a doll to work with to say the least. That way, your not surprised. 2.I will pm you what I have once I get to work (responding via iPhone now) 3. There is no need to purchase a separate table they will do one for you. 4. I'll send what I have on this as well Talk to you soon!!

Hi, I have a question for you ladies. I am currently booked at the chapel at the Gran Caribe and was just given a list of rules for the chapel that we are very unhappy about. We are now looking at the Moon Palace Chapel instead to compare. Are there any rules in the Chapel about all women having to cover their shoulders with a shawl? We have been booked for a year now and really feel like they have breached our contract and aren't willing to make any exceptions. I just don't want to look back at my wedding and dislike the pictures because I had to have a shawl on over my wedding dress as well as my bridesmaids. Any info you guys could give me would be great! My stress level is a little high right now..lol. Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
