Your Welcome and thanks so much for the compliments.   I had to email him several times prior to him responding but don't give up.  Remember we are talking about "our time culturally and theirs"  So it definitely calls for a little cultural sensitivity, Patience and persistence ;-)  OH and Woosahhh's LOL

You will.....

Also, quick question that I'm hoping someone will know the answer to! I've been to the Palace Resorts twice before and one of the best parts are the free resort credits you get! We are actually going to be using all of ours towards a wedding package, so wont have any to have fun with during the trip....does anyone know if you can "share" points? Like if my parents don't want to go to the spa, can they set up an appointment and gift it to us? I think I remember they actually check the number on your bracelets when you show them your yellow paper, but I can't remember for sure, or if there were any rules again sharing....Thanks!

Thanks for the info and responses ladies.  I don't qualify for unlimited events (not even close) but I still want a welcome dinner and a rehearsal dinner reservation at the restaurants.  I'm not happy about them wanting to charge me the same rate as a private event for that...

Might just show up on the day of instead.

This is my payment due date week, so I have been doing nothing but 'whooosahhh' all week.  I was on the brink of tears a couple times this week, but I have yet to let them fall.  Trying to stay strong and keep this all in perspective.  I just wish all the guests weren't driving me crazy with the indecisiveness!  But, I will just move forward as best I can.

I remember seeing on the PDF with the wedding packages that said that you can make a kind of wedding registry where people can buy you things like the spa or tours, so I am not sure if they can use their credits for that.. Probably not. But my aunt just told me that just by being a member (like if you booked as a member or through a member) that you get 2 free tours whether have the $1500 credits or not.

I was told by Karla (the spa manager) that I could use my credits for my bridesmaids' salon service (hair and makeup). So my guess would be that your parents can "buy" you salon services too with their credits.

I asked this multiple times to different coordinators (in case one of them gave me a different response, which we know they do), and I was always told that you can't.  That the resort credits are always for you.  BUT that wouldn't stop me from asking, just in case!  Maybe they'll give you a better answer. :)  Good luck!!

We had our dinner at El Caribeno.  It was for 18.  Normally, they don't allow reception dinners at El Caribeno (glad you got it too, Shane!!).  There's a list of restaurants that you can use for your reception dinner, and this restaurant is not on it.  What my coordinator had me do was to email her ahead of time what each guest wanted to eat.  (I put together a set menu that my guests chose from, and then I got what they wanted for an appetizer, entree, and dessert, and sent that list to her.)    IT WAS GREAT!  I highly recommend it.  It's not outdoors but indoors.

You also mentioned you didn't qualify for free events.  We didn't either.  For our welcome dinner, we just had everyone meet at the restaurant without a reservation.  (I got there about an hour early with my bridesmaids to start getting tables for us.)  We did ours at Los Caporales - right next to Arrecifes.  Maybe if you can't decide between these two restaurants, one of them can be for the welcome dinner, and the other for the reception dinner?

Hope this helps!

It would be around 7:30pm.

Any recommendations?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
