All my friends and family watching -it was so awesome. I can't reccommend them enough. So professional.

guys you should know better of course I would share whatever i have lol. my music is crazy - i have a lot of freestyle and rap- i am a ny girl. I never made a list it is all on my ipod so i will copy it tonight or tomorrow. I wonder if I can copy the playlist from itunes and print it out. I spent months putting together my playlist and i really loved it. It had something for everyone and everyone danced like crazy even the waitstaff was dancing and the ipod technician said he wouldn't change it because it was great dance music. Get it up tomorrow ;)

Does the ipod technician do anything besides make sure nothing goes wrong? My Fiancee wants a DJ because he thinks it adds more life to the party having someone getting everyone going. Just wondering how your experience was.

I would prefer to save a lot of money and make my own play list. We have tons of music on our computer so it would not be an issue making a killer playlist.

Hi ladies, just joined the site. Not engaged (yet) but completely set on Moon Palace. Question, since you don't get to choose where your having your ceremony and reception until 90 days out, what on earth did you put on your invites? Ceremony at Moon Palace 4 O'clock PM Reception to follow, location to be announced ?? I mean when did people find out things like "at the beach gazebo" or "tucan terrace?". Did you put the finalized locations on your wedding website? OOT bag itinerary insert? Was the ceremony location already confirmed by invitation time and you're just waiting on reception and other party venues? Yes, as you can see this it the one thing where the timing really threw me for a loop! Lol. Thanks :D

Hey girlies I put up my review ; http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/moon-palace-golf-spa-resort-all-inclusive/reviews/5809

I am going to try to do an after the fact planning journal this weekend so I will let you know but ask me anything. I tried to get it all in the review but it was a lot lol.

I really honestly do not think a DJ is necessary. Maybe if you are having a very large party than you might want to. But I knew exactly what my 30 people would love and I played music that every time a song started they were screaming oh yea remember this one and it was awesome. The technician really just fades in and out and he skipped a few I asked him to and he cues up the first dance songs and cut the cake songs etc but he doesn't speak. I got my adorable 12 year old going on 25 niece to be my MC and she rocked it. The WC would tell her what to say when she needed to like introducing Mr & mrs for their first dance and stuff and it was so cute. I had a table of props like glow stuff and boas and masks so that kept the crowd hopping. I felt like I had a DJ. I really didn't think anything more was necessary and i would have told him what to play anyway lmao.

coco thanks mama- u know I loved me some adorae. that fress was magical xoxo.

Ladydi,

You have been so much help to me lately! I feel more at ease knowing that you had a successful wedding! I also was able to get in contact with Katie regarding decorations today. I was surprised by all the great info that she sent me so quickly! One question that I had though....I was just wondering why your cocktail hour wasn't included if you had 30 guests? No one has let me know if my cocktail hour is included or not yet, all they have said was they will let me know.

You get the cocktail for free after you book 30 nights but when you get to 60 nights you get the reception free and instead have to pay for the cocktail hour. The cocktail hour was $600 but the private reception would have been $1,200 plus the $60 a table to extend it an hour. I only paid the $60 a table instead of paying the reception and that is why I paid the cocktail hour. If you get 75 nights you get everything free ;) I was 7 nights short ;(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
