Moon Palace 2012 Brides

I totally understand I had 30 with 7 being kids and I had the same concern. I am sending you the bill with what we got. The scenery really is picturesque and if you are bringing sashes and some colorful stuff you really don't need much. It is definitely bright enough that I didn't need the lanterns. But while I was there I saw a memo to my WC that said that Colin guy was coming up with a cheap reception package. You should inquire about that.

I too am having my reception on Tucan terrace.  But my problem is, there will only be 20 of us, so I am not sure how much I want to do in terms of decorations???  But I feel I have to have something!

What did you do for songs for the ceremony/how did they all work out? And how many were used?

Our ceremony was at 4:00 PM and in the Tucan Gazebo so there was no sun in your eyes in the Gazebo. I did a private reception in the Tucan Terrace. The dinner was free because I made 60 nights but I would have done it anyway. I LOVED the terrace the gorgeous beach right behind you. It was so breathtaking and the sound system is all you need. The guy played my playlist that I spent months creating which everyone danced to for hours. We had the ceremony at 4:00 and the cocktail at 5:00 so I brought everyone over to do pics until the cocktail and than we took our pics and got to the cocktail hour about 20 minutes before the reception which was all right there and perfectly set up. We did a first dance as the sun was setting at 6:00 PM and than we ate for about 35 minutes than we did the cutting the cake and I set off the dance music lol. After that we just danced and it flew by. I wanted to extend another hour but hubby was tired. One thing...do the horse and carriage. it made my husband cry and my guests were completely blown away. It is amazing.

so funny I was just coming here to tell you guys that some of my pics were posted. i am so happy so far I really am. And I got so much from them and I was so nervous but I am thrilled so far and I am getting 3 books and tons of pics and video. Thrilled that they came out so cute! Here is the link to facebook if anyone wants to check out smilemarket -they were phenomenal to deal with and you get so much from them! http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.268761783204339.66655.122245387855980&type=1

Anyway I was so worried about the song situation but you really don't need to worry and you don't need that many. One song for the men is more than enough they actrually played my husband's song while I was coming in the horse and carriage which was fine (KC & JOJO All my life). as my little girls got out of the carriage with my maid of honor they did their song which didn't play all the way through (Over the rainbow) and than as I started to walk they put on my song (Michael Buble -crazy love) which was 4 minutes and didn't even play half of. I had another song for the sand ceremony (marry me) which they played for a minute and than a minute for the signing of the papers (a thousand years) and than our processional song (everlasting love). I had way too many songs on my CD but it doesn't matter because she numbers them herself and plays what u want where u want but she played a different song for my signing which was fine but than i heard it switch to the song i requested lol. no one but me noticed anything to do with the music. I had wanted to surprise my husband with crazy love by michael buble his favorite song when i walked down the aisle and he said he was so emotional about seeing me he never noticed the song lol. You can hear all the songs and how much or long they are on the video.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
