Thanks girls! i just wrote to my coordinator and asked about the tres leche! I honestly think we will end up going with the italian buffet because im sure my big italian family will request pasta and tiramisu! YUM! haha Plus I think we are going to try to have our rehersal/welcome dinner at Caporales which is Mexican so we want to switch it up a bit!

I would love to know about the tables as well! And how many people do they sit? Now that I have a final number of people I should prob start working on a seating plan!

I think we decided to just do regular white cake, but I THOUGHT there was a tres leche option that I had previously heard good things about so I am definitely going to ask for that! If your wedding group is over a certain size do they automatically give you a second tier? Or do you have to specifically request/pay for that (we're doing the Pearl Shimmer package).

Also, check the desserts that come with your buffets…I think it was the International 2 buffet (?) but it came with mini strawberry AND "cheese" cakes…so we figured we'd get to sample those flavors anyways! Although, neither of us are big sweets people…we prefer to drink our calories! shots.gif

Does anyone happen to know how big the complimentary tables are? I think I've read before that they are 72x72 but I can't find that post anywhere, and I want to order overlays for the tables (I think I've decided on those versus table runners).

Also, did any previous brides get charged a set up fee if they asked for sashes to be tied on the chairs? I know there have been several posts about how much MP SAYS they charge per table, versus what they actually charge once you get there for the set up. From what I can tell, you can usually get away with not having to pay a fee if it is a simple set up…I'm wondering if the chair sashes crosses the line from "simple/free" to set-up fee.

Thanks!

I don't know how big the tables are but I'm pretty sure whatever the standard round table is- that's what they are as my chiar sashes fit just fine.  They place 8-10 people at each table depending on the amount of people you had.  We had 5 tables I think 2 had 10 people and the rest had 8.

Hi ladies, I am looking into getting married at Moon Palace. I was wondering if you decide to go with the conplimentary package where is the list and cost of decorations that you can add on? I can't find it anywhere.... Moon Palace didn't even send me any info about it. Maybe the decorations I see in pictures are stuff people brought on their own?? Thanks for your help!

Hi Tammy,

I do know what is included in each of the wedding packages. What I am looking for is the cost of "extras" (decorations mostly) and maybe some pictures of the options. I have heard lots of the ladies on here say they chose the complimentary package and just added their own decorations, so I am wondering what the options/costs are for these if any one knows.

Thanks.

Hi Kaliellis, Your WC will likely email you vendors for decorations with links to their sites. I was sent links to zuniga and gamanteles. You will have to email a rep to get price quotes, from my experience. The links are http://www.grupogama.mx/ (gamanteles) and http://www.decocancun.com/ (zuniga). A lot of brides bring their own decorations too. Let me know if I can answer anything else!

Hi Ladies!

Has anyone heard anything about the live saxophone song options? I can't seem to get any information but want to narrow down our ceremony song choices with FI. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

*This is a repost from a different thread so apologies if you are on there also but I want to make sure I don't miss out on good information!

One of the groomsman made a playlist for me and we just let it run- in alphabetical order I believe.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
