Moon Palace 2012 Brides

I'm sorry to hear that! I did have to send them a copy of my CC, but it was since been closed because I too had my CC number stolen- but it wasn't from Miami.  So the card they have on file is no longer valid.  But I'll be extra cautious when we give our cc number out! Thanks!

I had attempted fraud. Lucky for me my credit card company declined it and called me. That is terrible!!!

Hey friends!  Sorry I have been MIA since my wedding!  I have had every intention of doing a resort review but have been busy busy!  I started graduate school a few weeks before my wedding and it, along with starting a new job, has consumed me!  Plus, with all the writing I'm doing for school the thought of sitting down to do another write-up besides school work makes my belly hurt!

Anyways I got my long awaited wedding pictures from Fineart Studio Fridayrockon.gif

For those still deciding on a photographer- Fabrizio and Diego from Fineart Studio were awesome!!  They showed up right on time and their pictures are fabulous.  My main complaint is they took 14 weeks to get me my pictures.  They mentioned 8-12 weeks, which is a crazy long time to begin with, but then it took them longer... needless to say I was checking my email constantly.  They did apologize  I actually don't have the CD yet (it's en route) but here's a link to my online slideshow!

I plan on doing a review of them and will let you know when I do... it will be soon I promise!!

The Miami office is closed- do you mean you sent it to the Cancun office?

Hi all, I am a new bride to be and in the beginning stages of planning. I am awaiting a response to see if my date is available at the Moon Palace but I have so many questions. Hopefully you all can help me.

Wedding details:
* 10-15 guests
*Ceremony date: August 31, 2013 (unconfirmed)
*No bridesmaids or groomsmen
*Symbolic

*Complimentary package
*Bride & Groom booking 6 rooms (15 nights)

1. I would like the free wedding package, do I get a cocktail hour included?
2. How much does it cost to have a private reception at one of the rooftop terraces?
3. How far is the gazebo from the terraces?
4. Are free golf carts available to take guests from the gazebo to the terraces?
5. Can my vacation dollars be used towards a private dinner?
6. My friend will be the DJ and will be staying at the resort, are there any costs associated with this?
7. If I decide to go with an outside DJ, do I have to purchase a day pass? If yes, what is the cost?
8. Are there any semi-private reception areas (that are free), that a dj can play music?
9. Is there a set-up fee for a private cocktail hour and reception? If yes, how much? If there is a fee, can I and my guests set up the reception site and not be charged?
10. Can I apply the 1500 credits towards a videographer from kodak?
11. I am having a symbolic wedding, can I arrive 2 days before the ceremony date?
12. How many tiers are included on the free wedding cake?
13. How much to add a tier?
14. Is the symbolic ceremony done in english or spanish?
15. How much does the horse and carriage cost?
16. Is there an additional cost for a sit down private reception? How about for a buffet?
17. Can I stay at the beach palace and have my ceremony at the moon palace in order to rent the horse and carriage?; If I have my ceremony at the moon palace, can I have my cocktail hour and reception at the beach palace?
18. Can non-alcoholic beverages be served instead of alcoholic beverages during the cocktail hour?
19. Is there an elevator to the rooftop terrace at the beach palace?
20. Can the free reception dinner be held at one of the rooftop terraces of a restaurant? Can I have a dj there?
21. Are there tents available for an outside reception?
22. If i book through a member, can I receive a discount on rooms, videography, etc?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
