Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Great, thank you! I think I am leaning towards a private event for our rehersal dinner and I want something close to where we are staying so my guests don't have to walk across the whole resort.  I will have to check those pics out again!

They are both very nice locations.

How did you actually pay in full before you left?  Was it hard and did you fell safe and secure doing it?  I'll be sending good vibes your way in regards to the hurricane!

Also, my bill for both Zuniga, and my bill for PSAV DJ equip was listed on the bill and I paid in full for that. We leave for Moon Palace on Monday morning. All of my optional services are paid for.
My "wedding planner" Renee Garcia insisted that optional services NOW MUST be paid in full prior to arrival. Either that, or you can not guarantee any of them prior to your wedding coordinator meeting. You could take your chances that the optional services will be available, book them all at the wedding coordinator meeting, and pay at check out.
I wanted to lock in my services, and am fine with submitting payment ahead of time.
The only charges I will have at check out will be the day passes for the photographers, the charges from the salon, spa, and golf club rentals. Everything else has been paid in full.
**Side note - It looks like Tropical Depression Five is going to form into Hurricane Ernesto and head directly towards Cancun about the time we are scheduled to arrive. If anyone on these forums has some good luck, do me a favor and cross your fingers that the Tropical Storm breaks down or turns off its projected path in the next few days. Thanks. sad.gif

After working out the details and all costs with my wedding planner in Cancun, she typed up a detailed purchase order (invoice) with all options and prices. She also attached a payment authorization form. I signed the purchase order (detailed invoice) and also filled out the payment authorization form. I charged the bill to my credit. I figured in case anything went wrong, I would have more options for recourse with the credit card company. I scanned the info and emailed it back. The next day, the exact correct amount was charged to my card from PALACE RESORTS. I felt completely safe providing them with my info. But then again, I have purchased both an expensive car and an expensive engagement ring over the Internet without ever seeing them in person. So, maybe I'm risky/careless/trusting/naive? So far, everything has been good. If you are interested, I'd be happy to email you a copy of the Purchase Order detailed invoice that I signed and paid for. You could get an idea of what it looks like and how it's designed. Let me know.

I have no problem paying for my optional services prior but it has not come up yet. I just emailed Daniela my signed contracts from PSAV and Zuniga so we'll see how that goes.

Im more curious about our guests having to pay their rooms in full prior to arrival.

Sending TONS of good vibes for your wedding day..I hope it clears the morning of just in time for you!! smile123.gif

We used a Travel Agent, Teresa Stauring from Vacations for Less (amazing btw!), which I found from this website. All of our guests were asked to pay for their stay in full, 30 days prior to the travel, which they all did. Everyones trip is fully paid for prior to travel. Thanks for the good wishes on the weather.

I am hoping that we will have unlimited functions, however, if I use the complimetary package, what is the decor like? Will MP send me pictures of the basic set up? So I know where to go from there or what is needed?

I would want to know:

Do they include linens?

Do they included any type of complimentary centerpieces, vases..etc..

Are tables/chairs free?

With the unlimited nights are there still set up/clean up fees?

Also I really like the pearl shimmer decor. Has anyone recieved any pricing on using the pearl shimmer or the new Colin decor for the reception tables?

Thank you for all the information,

Lauren

Is this the basic set up? I am wondering because I am using the complimentary package and do not want to go overboard. I see there is linens and a teal sash around cocktail table? Are the white chairs included?

Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
