Hi Ladies,

I've been back from Moon Palace for quite some time, but have been completely swamped with work since my return. I'm not sure when I will get a chance to buckle down and write a thorough review, but will gladly answer questions to those who have specific ones. I don't think I have too much additional information to add, considering how thorough and helpful all of our other Moon Palace brides have been, but I can definitely provide guidance to brides who are planning a Sikh wedding, which was definitely a challenge at times. If anyone is interested in photos, here is a link to our photographer's blog:

Scroll down past baby Eleanor's photos and you will see HUNDREDS of photos from our wedding festivities. Also, here is a link to a wedding video prologue made by our videographers:

All in all, everything went wonderfully and we have no major complaints. Valeria was wonderful to deal with and went out of her way to please us. The only thing I can complain about is that we had our reception in the Gallatic Ballroom (Sunrise section), which was not at all soundproof (in fact, the room seperators did not even touch the floor) so we could hear music coming from other parties and that was really annoying during speeches. Also, we upgraded our cake due to having 140 guests, but the cake was totally lopsided, the flowers were the wrong colour, and no one actually cut or served the cake to our guests. However, when i talked to Valeria about this the following day, she immediately refunded the $280 for the cake and we really appreciated that. Again, please let me know if you have any questions. I will gladly provide answers to the best of my ability :)

Hi Ladies-

Yes, the Cancun on-site office is getting their own wedding department because I think the feedback for the Miami office is so horrible, I guess they are starting their own.  Kalena, who was my wedding planner, actually got a promotion while I was there and she is going to be working in that new office and no longer as an on-site coordinator.  I didn't even get to see her again to say an official goodbye before I left.  She did a wonderful job for our wedding, and hopefully this means that for future brides your pre-planning will not be such an awful experience.  But yeah, Kalena will be in the new office as of this weekend.

I just thought I would share that I never once dealt with the Miami office after setting my date, I lucked out and got 3 or 4 girls who kept getting fired... Now Daniela and Clarisa both in cancun have emailed me my check list and are super easy to deal with.  Also, my photog sent me this email....so i'm not saying anything and we will see what happens. Although I need 4 day passes for guests ?

Hola,

No worries, we've already sent the Palace Team a list of all of our mutual weddings and they are aware that you've hired us and therefore only require a Day Pass.   As we get closer to your date we'll confirm all of the final details with you and Danielle.   Saludos,

Ive thought about it..I'm 5 months out and none of my bridal party has booked yet. I know my MOH is waiting for her husbands severence pay from the USMC, but the others have no excuse. So I thought about even loaning my MOH the money until they get it but idk..

I'm not sure that I would help pay (depends on the circumstances) however, the cost can add up quickly and defeat the purpose of a destination wedding (if being done to save money.) however only you and your FI knows your budget. Also Del Sol has a great relationship with MP so they only require day passes. They are great!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
