How are you getting reassigned? I keep being told someone will contact me, but no one ever does.  I've tried calling several different numbers but don't seem to be able to get anywhere. Do you have a number that's been working for you?

Question for you recent brides- if you did the unlimited functions with the private reception- how long did yours last and did you have to pay a fee to extend it?

They say two hours are free and you would have to pay a fee per table/per extra hour after that. So I planned for my welcome dinner to be from 7-9, but they let us stay until 10 and didn't charge us (all outdoor events have to end by 10).

Mine was suppose to be 6-10 but we didn't show up til 630 and we extended it an hour so it ended at 1130 and it was outside.  We paid the fees for the tables plus $55 for PSAV to stay an hour

Great, thanks ladies.  I was told mine would be from 6-10 and I have never been told I would be charged extra.  I have PSAV for the ipod hookup from 6-10 as well.  So hopefully it will all work out and I won't be charged extra! :)

Thanks everyone!!

Good luck and best wishes to everyone leaving this week! Can't wait to see pics of all the beautiful brides!!

Shan our cocktail hour started at 5:30-7:00 and reception was 7-9:30ish. We were ready to head indoors after that because it was still pretty hot outside. We weren't charged extra for the little bit of extra time that we were there.

For those leaving this week the disco isn't open yet but they have a DJ over at the Sunrise lobby that was pretty good. That's where we continued the party. Nizuc was pretty laid back and calm in the lobby but the amphitheater shows were more loud. We missed the Michael Jackson show on Monday night, it's at Sunrise amphitheater. We were having dinner at La Trattoria......fabulous food but it literally is a 2.5-3 hour experience. So plan accordingly!! Best food I ate the entire week we were there. Cheese soup fantastic and Veal Lasagna out of this world!!! It's 4 courses so make sure you a super hungry!!! Oh and the beef medallions with blue cheese were marvelous!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
