Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Soooo excited to leave in just 3 days!! I only have chair sashes (like 15) for the ceremony and maracas and napkins for the recption tables. I am hoping to get those set up...even if its 65 dolllars and just be done, or have my friends do it beforehand!

The only thing I care about is the weather....I cant look.....

So happy to see to see and hear all the June brides having the perfect day, looking perfect!!!

Again, I havent paid for anything in full, havent spoken to Kalena, and Im not worried......I have it in writing that my locations were booked so if its not available........my 26 guests vacations better be free shots.gif

I made my script from this site.  Sorry, I am soooo late in responding!!!  but if you don't have it, PM me and I will send it to you!!!!

Yes, I wore my hair up because of that and the fact it wouldn't hold a curl down there.  I had Sara Tamargo do my make-up and her assistant did my hair.  They did sooo great!  Totally recommend!

we gave Zaray $100, but I don't think that matters now....

Best of luck! Safe flight, and enjoy!!

We didn't have a rehearsal, but it turned out just fine.  Zaray explained how it would go (after I told her I wanted the girls to walk down by themselves)  and the second before they walked down the aisle she told them where to go and stand, it worked just fine for us....But I have been in 10 weddings as a BM so I wasn't worried about it, it's all about the same.

Did you actually rehearse, with the wedding planner there?

YAY!!  I want to see your pix!!!  so therefore I want to be you FB friend.  How do I find you???  Congrats!!!!

Anyways to echo past brides- the wedding day was amazing!! My on-site wedding coordinator (Daniela) was phenomenal!  A few bumps in the beginning, and some issues with Moon Palace but all in all it was the wedding of our dreams :)

If you have any specific questions for me please PM me, as I'm going to be too busy in the next week or two to look at this forum.  I will gladly answer questions PMed to me!!  And I'll post pictures when I get a second, otherwise there are lots on facebook!

you looked so beautiful!!  congrats

As I looked back through my own camera I didn't take too many pictures, I guess I was just enjoying the time we had there too much! But here's on that was taken by my cousin on her phone sometime after the wedding. wedding day.JPG

If you have any questions in the mean time please don't hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to give tips or whatever. I will say this though.......set up price is DEFINITELY negotiable!!! I didn't pay one dime for set up!!! And Zaray said it was because I was so easy to work with and had very little to set up. So if you want to save money be nice to your coordinators and don't take a lot of stuff to set up. I tipped her very well in the end to show my appreciation it was well worth it! My advice is try not to sweat

It looks like there has been a lot of activity on here concerning the Miami office. I wouldn't pay one cent to them before you leave. They bill everything to your room at the resort. Joannis seems to be the only one doing this & her name is the only one popping up with the fraud cc charges......sounds fishy to me. Anytime I had questions and the Miami coordinator wouldn't respond I asked Janina there. I believe she's a manager so feel free to email her. She's awesome!

I hope that everyone has a great week of planning. Congrats to Summer12I I think I saw you at the spa/salon after your hair appt. We were heading in for our massages and then missed your wedding since we didn't make it back over there before 6:30. Your pics on FB look great! Beautiful bride!!

YAY!!  so excited for you!  you will have the best time!

I just got off the phone with Airtran and the rep said that they don't have a place on the plane where I can hang my dress except for maybe by the cockpit.  I don't want to take that risk that I can't hang it up.  My dress shop said that they would pack it in a carry-on suitcase, but that doesn't even sound possible.  I'm honestly not sure that it would fit.  I have also heard of brides laying their dresses flat in an overhead compartment, but I'm pretty sure we have a full flight and I know most people avoid baggage fees whenever they can.

Do you ladies have any suggestions?

We flew Airtran, and while there wasn't anywhere to hang it, they made sure that it laid flat in the overhead. It was kind of a pain carrying it all around three airports, but it sure beat paying another checked bag fee.  When we got to MX, we just hung it up, no steaming required, but mine was all lace. Valeria said they need 48 hours to guarantee it to be ready if you are having it steamed.

I have not been on in awhile and have not caught up on all posts but did everyone know that here is no more dealing with Miami, Cancun now has it's own office opening up soon. My wedding planner is no longer Juana and I am getting reassigned again. Oh well happy that the new planner will be right in the action and not so far away from the actual resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
