Usually external photographers provide a better experience.. I cannot generalize, but an external photographer has great experience and dedication to what he does... (sometimes more creativity also) Again, not generalizing, there are also great photographers in the resorts...

Where is yours?

If I could ever get my locations confirmed, then I will be having it in the Luna Ballroom!  How many guests do you have? I am doing by welcome dinner at El Caribeno!

We're still debating on whether or not to have the reception on the beach (knowing we have to pay a per person fee for the setup) or just go with one of the patios that overlook the beach.  Any suggestions? I have the map of the resort, but dont see any "wedding spots" on it....

Also, as embarrassed as I am to admit I've been watching it, has anyone seen "Dont Be Tardy For The Wedding?" :) Colin Cowie is the wedding planner!!!

There are def beach options!!  Basically the they just set it up on the beach there is no designated spot.  They just say "on the beach by... where ever".  Girl that is why I wanted to DO a destination wedding.  In my eyes that is why we are flying to MX in the first place so not on the beach was not an option.  But seeing other peoples chapel weddings also look gorg!!  woot.gif

Hi Ladies!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been on here in I don't know in how long!!!!!!  I have missed you all so!!!!!

I hope everyone's planning is going well and for those that have gotten married since mid April-Congrats!!!  And welcome any "noobies"

My new job has been crazy and I can't get on here during the day and at night, I have been super busy as well and this site has taken a serious back seat.

We leave in 11 days and I can't believe it!!!  It's starting to sink in, EEEEKKKK!!!  I still have to do my I-pod playlist, but I think I have pretty much everything else done.  I decided last minute to do a seating chart so I need to do place cards of some sort.

I have also had some SERIOUS drama going on with some of my family, to the point where I can't believe I was ever upset about my "friends"  I want to elope now!!!  I am a little afraid it's going to be my worst nightmare come true, my wedding could be ruined!  But we will have to wait and see!

We officially get married May 25th here in Denver (the day before we leave).  Yes, I thought the added stress would be great.  But I couldn't take another day off of work to do it, and I already have the 25th off.

There is what's going with me for now!!!!

I miss you all!!!

Lee-I am hoping I see you down there!!!  That would be great if I could see a bit of your wedding!!!  If not, hopefully this weekend!

coco-not sure if you are ever on here anymore, but I hope being married is the best!!!

Beatyea-same to you sister!!!

Jamie,

Don't sweat the drama and it's easier said then done, but honestly all that matters is you two!  We had some horrible things happen days before leaving and while down there but we didn't let it ruin our time!  I had a bridesmaid bail the day before we left since she failed to get her passport and saying she had just found out she couldn't get it cause of back taxes.  Then down there a groomsman let his gf control him to the point that she didn't show up to our ceremony and then called him away at the cocktail hour since she was sick from drinking the night before and therefore he is not in any of our photos besides the ceremony.  Then they showed up at the reception while dinner was going on and they refused to speak to us.  We played it off because my husband and I are not the type to baby people and ruin someone's time so we went on so therefore they just walked out right after dinner without saying anything.  I've never met a girl so rude in my entire life and he never apologized to Kevin after we returned.  Even after all of that- I would never say our wedding was ruined or anything- everyone else who was there had a fabulous time and wanted to be there for us!  Our wedding was still pretty perfect in my eyes so don't worry you will look fabulous and you will have a fabulous day!  Don't let anyone take that away from you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
