Ahh man, I am going to miss it!  But, I am sure your day will be amazing...and maybe you will see me around the resort after my big day.  Hopefully I won't have any 'lessons learned', but if I do, I can certainly pass them along.  I am just praying for good weather.  Are you doing an indoor or an outdoor reception?

Does anyone know the confirmed amount for the outside vendor fee for moon palace.  I've heard $500 and I've heard $100, but does anyone know what the real cost is?  Thanks!

I am 29 days away and can you believe I am still trying to confirm locations!  My TA had to really get on management to get them to contact me regarding my location requests.  I only got the wedding and cocktail hour confirmed.  Just trying to get my reception location, welcome dinner, and my menu selection confirmed.  I'm waiting to get some stuff printed, so they are killing me.  I finally heard back from Kalena, so hopefully I will get these confirmed soon.

I confirmed DJ Dorremix, so excited about that.

I confirmed and signed contract with Katie - yeah!

I confirmed and signed contract with Ivan Luckie photography - Yeah!

Never heard back from Marvin (for flowers), so trying to work with Cherry Blossom who has been really great.  Just worried about the outside vendor thing, so I want to see what the fee is in case I get stuck with that.  If it $500, I might as well go with Moon Palace...if its $100, then its worth it for what I save for the flowers.

I filled out the form online, they say it takes 15-20 minutes and ta da, I'm a married woman. We are taking our parents and then having a nice dinner afterwards. So is excited :)

I can't believe I leave in 10 days. I have three people who added themselves to my guest list just last week (and two of them weren't even invited...) so it's been kind of crazy having to change some seating charts, placecards, and OOT bags around, but the more the merrier right?

Jamie, are you ready?? We're so close!

Congrats!!!

We booked our block in Sept/Oct last year. We still have people that might book. My advice is book your block on the low end. That way you don't get caught with a penalty for not meeting the room numbers. You can always add right up to the last minute. We used Teresa Stauring from the BDW website and minus a couple of snafus she has done a pretty good job. She booked everything for us and let us know once we reached our 75 nights and was pretty good to respond quickly. I'm not sure when your wedding is but we didn't get a lot of response until about 5-6 months out from our wedding. Don't fret yet especially if your wedding is months out. It will all come together.

Can someone tell me how their process went? How far in advance does the group contract need to be done?

Boo! We are leaving on the 13th. What day do you arrive?

We're planning on having our ceremony on the beach....are there any options for beach locations??? Or do they  just find you a place? We're still debating on whether or not to have the reception on the beach (knowing we have to pay a per person fee for the setup) or just go with one of the patios that overlook the beach.  Any suggestions? I have the map of the resort, but dont see any "wedding spots" on it....

Also, as embarrassed as I am to admit I've been watching it, has anyone seen "Dont Be Tardy For The Wedding?" :) Colin Cowie is the wedding planner!!!

It def is exciting.. I have been waiting for someone to come on here and share a wedding wknd with me!!! So my coordinator was Beatriz but shes long gone, now I donâ€t have anyone and was told I would be contacted 60 days before the date. Before she left I had managed to finalize all the added decorations for the ceremony and the reception through Zuniga and ordered the lights/DJ/soundsystem through I think PSAV. After she left I had to finalize everything with Janina regarding the contract and the locations. When you receive your contract, make sure you look over everything!!!! We got Tucan Terrace 3pm symbolic (flying a rabbi in) 4pm Venado Terrace, 5pm Carabeno Terrace until 10:30 but we are hoping they allow us to extend for another hour. Keep calling that 877 # and demanding to speak with someone, supervisors are most helpful. To be honest, my FI has been the one making all the calls because he can sound stern when needed so I appointed him to be the mean call guy while I research everything. We had an issue where they gave away our locations and told us we had to be married in the catholic chapel which is beautiful but come on…. really???? We are having a jewish ceremony!!! He called and threatened to cancel everything and they fixed it all right away.  We mailed save the dates about 8 months before 11/11 and just mailed invitations last night! We are also working through a travel agent which I recommend. I am also in the same zone as you, buying the dresses, OOT bags and such but I cant really make too many purchases since I am not sure how many are going.. we assume about 50-60 people will make it J

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
