FutureRN2011- What time did your ceremony start? It looks like you got some great pics with full sun and then with it setting...? Am trying to decide what time we should start, debating between 5pm and 6. Thanks!

I did want to let those of you who might be interested know that I got a final 'NO' on using the dock at Moon Palace for boat after the wedding. Before I booked and asked about it, it was a maybe and now it's a no. Oh well! We're planning to rent our own boat for the day now for a snorkel trip for everyone. If anyone has any opinions/advise on this, please let me know!

Soon2bMrsT - I love your colors! Question, did they include a mic and speakers in the package? I've heard its really windy on the beach, and guests in the past have had problems hearing the vows and such. Also, how did the beach look? Was there a lot of seaweed like people have mentioned?

I have taken comfort in knowing that there are many beautiful locations to choose from.  On that note, I finally had to call Moon Palace to get someone to listen to me (but I was less than 60 days out at the time, before that I only dealt with them via email).  Also I went through like 4 coordinators.

Thanks for your help.  I guess Im just anxious because I see on here that there are girls who are getting married after me saying they have their locations secured already.  So then I start to panic thinking that Im not doing something right! haha.  I guess I need to relax a bit and just wait it out!!

as long as they are not getting married on the same day as you, then don't worry! Honestly it is better to have nothing set, than to set stuff, print itinerary's or whatever, and then not get it and have to back track. Wait until you are so much closer and have comfort in the fact you dont need to stress right now. Easier said than done ;)

Stefn1218-

Our ceremony was at 1pm-1:30pm

Pictures 1:30-2:30pm

Lunch in Carabeno with cake cutting- 2:30pm-5pm

Break and time to go back to room to refresh makeup- 5pm-6:15pm

Cocktail hour which we tweaked into a reception with added on ipod speaker set-up for music and dancing- 6:30-8:30pm (we paid for an extra hour on to the cocktail hour but they allowed it to go longer....til approximately 9:30-10pm.

The sun sets around 7:30pm.....thats how we were able to have some pics with the sun coming down...it was so pretty....i love the sky as the sun is coming down....it looks fake, thats how beautiful it is!

for 2 seperate colors, not including setup fee because i'm using them for other things, its $250
Is the resort making you pay the vendor fee or day passes? Janessa said I would have to buy day passes for the vendors. I don't believe she is right, doesn't make since to pay the vendor fee when they are the resorts preferred vendors.

Zuniga is a vendor that MP works with so there is no day passes/vendor fees to utilize them

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
