Hola ladies, I left on the 16th as a Ms. And returned as a Mrs. YAY!!!! I have so much to tell, say etc. but a girl is tired as hell. FI heads to work on Mi day and I'm off until May 7th so I'm going to work on things to make sure I capture everything in detail for you ladies!!! I kept each of you in my thoughts and flashed away with pictures. Here's a sneak peak of our TTD a6937b19-bfa3-5cfd.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've booked El Caribeno for my reception dinner (with a set menu).

Can anyone tell me if they've had personal experiences with the following items? (and how it sounds?)

Appetizer - Mixed Seafood Ceviche

Salad - Squid and Mango Salad

Soup - Saffron and Mussel Cream Soup

Entree - Mahi Mahi Fish

Dessert - Yuca and Vanilla Creme Brulee

I picked El Caribeno for my rehearsal dinner.  Did she send you a copy of the menu for there?  I have to pick a set menu, but I have not gotten the menu so I can make the selections.  Would you be able to share?  Thanks!

Shan,

I love love love Nizuc!

PROS:

  1. it's close to all the gazebos (Tucan and Chapel)
  2. it's very close to the Grand side (no need for golf carts or taking the bus)
  3. it's no where near as crowded as Sunrise (it was just too crowded for my liking) and too many damn mosquitoes on that side.. I got bit up on the Lake Terrace on the Romantic Dinner
  4. You can always walk or catch the bus to Sunrise...

For our group of 66 it was perfect and everyone had a great view.  Truly unless you are drunk, sleep or changing your clothes much time isn't spent in the room.  Most rooms look alike regardless if they have a hammock or chairs (Grand has very nice rooms).  So basically, I judges on the ease of getting chairs, finding a spot in the pool etc..

Did you book the swim with the dolphins when you got to the resort or were you able to book before?  Were you able to use the resort credits for it?  I am confused by them- when it says that transportation is not included- but isn't it part of wet and wild?  I think that would be fun to do with all my guests after the wedding- is it only at certain times?

Great pic!! You look gorgeous!!! :)

I agree with Coco...definitely love the Nizuc area. We are here now and its beautiful! Everyone is beyond nice! I like the calmness of this area! We definitely partied in the sunrise yesterday as it is more action packed....but its nice to come back to relax in the quiter section.

Thanks Coco and FutureRN for reassuring me that if we end up with Nizuc we will be just fine! I totally agree that no one will be in their room long enough to care! :)  I just want to make sure I have an ocean view, since it is my wedding and all! :)

Shan,

Let me tell you that MP goes all out for EVERYONE especially the BRIDE & GROOM!  we had absolutely NO problems at all.  The staff are so friendly and want nothing more to please you.  It's so sad that the Miami office takes this away because of their lack of communication....from this site one would think that OMG they don't listen etc.. but believe me MP the staff in Mexico HEARS US loud and clear.  They go above and beyond.

It's not often you find a large group who LOVED everything!  But my group did and many said "OMG if I would have known it was going to be like this I would have stayed longer." or "Damn are you guys coming back here for your honeymoon, if so I'm coming to."

When the past brides post "RELAX, YOUR DAY WILL BE BEAUTIFUL"  they mean it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  and I back this up 100000000%

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
