Moon Palace 2012 Brides

We were able to confirm our room upgrade as soon as we hit 75 room nights. As for waiting, I guess that would depend on the concierge level avavilability. If you think you will get the 75 nights, you get the free room upgrade anyway. I dont believe you can upgrade from the concierge level. I would go with the OF and use the credits if you dont have enough nights booked to get the free upgrade.

We have booked and paid for a Concierge Level room.  Since we have hit the 75 room nights, not only are they going to refund the cost of the room, but both our Travel Agent and our on-site wedding coordinator has put in a request to upgrade us to a Presidential Suite with our (free room upgrade for bride and groom for hitting 75+ room nights).  It is yet to be seen if we can actually get upgraded to a Presidential Suite, or if we will have to use some resort credits along with our 'free upgrade' to move up into a Presidential Suite.

Emily where are you? We are on the Nizuc side in the Mono building!

Hey ladies!I'm here at Moon Palace and it is fabulous! I had my meeting with Claudia today and she was very sweet and had all the information correct and all taken care of what we talked about. I left everything in her hands and I'm positive it will be fine! Cant wait for our wedding Friday!

Bey ladies FI & I arrived on the resort about 2 today. We are on the Nizuc, side s s was greeted with a cool & I received a flower. Once we sat down to begin the check-in process we were given champagne. EVERYone was do nice!! Our room is very close to the Tucan gazebo (sweet deal) and we ate about a 4-5 minute walk Moon grand where we will have our reception. I love it... It's large. The rooms are a good size no complaints but balconies small on Nizuc. This is the oldest side but still nice. Yet when we found both the Tucan Gazebo & the Rooftop...I'm in love with the outside of the grand. We will visit tomorrow & may move depending on the $$ we will still be close to our guest. Speaking of guest, our 1st guests arrived and we had dinner with them at Arrecfies. Ok gotta go my FI beckons Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

cheers.gif Hi Ladies!!!

I'm Baaaaaaack!

I know. Long time, no see...or post....but I am back in action! I figure I should give a little update on my life to somewhat explain my absence from the forum, so here it goes:

As everyone I'm sure is aware of or will be, the last couple of months before you leave is hectic to say the least! Once down there it was a total whirl wind of meetings, family, friends, dinners, drinks, and last minute details. As soon as I got back from the wedding I started working on opening a new lash/wax lounge, "Lashed with Love" with my friend and colleague as well as working my regular spa 40+ hours a week. After many late nights and long days, we finally got the store opened in March! After that I was working 60+ hours 6 days a week and trying to slowly transition over to Lashed with Love to give my clients a chance to see me before I left (so I could give them a heads up) and to make sure I was giving my manager time to find new hires and leave on good terms. I also wanted to make sure we were stable enough at LwL before I quit my job since I had many bills to pay after my surgeries and the wedding. Not only was I working a lot, but the many different aspects that go into a new business is enough to keep me up late nights constantly working on something work related! Then there is everything else that needs to be done in the time in between that gets pushed to the side...I think my poor dogs might have gone a little nutty due to the lack of fresh air and walks!

BUT as of this week I am no longer at my other job and am now full time at our new store! I never thought working 40+ hours would be a breeze, but I'm amazed how much more time even just those extra 20 hours can give me! Yay!! I began slowly building my review on MP and tonight finally finished it!! woot.gif

So now that I am not a slave to work, I am fully able to answer any and all questions!

Thanks for being so patient with me ladies! I hope all your planning is going well and you aren't stressing too much. Just remember it WILL WORK OUT! cheer2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
