Very amazing price!!  I need to thank you again. I was about to settle on using the Resort Photographer.  Not that they are bad or anything, but it just wasn't the type of photos I've dreamed of having.  Plus I REALLY wanted the TTD session at Cenote.  I'm beyond excited!

Thanks for the pointers.  I'd probably forget too!

Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember to bring a towel and change of clothes!!  Instead of me who didn't have a brain that day and had to ride in his car sopping wet in my wedding dress, smelling like river water!  Ew!  stupid.gif

I'd suggest asking your coordinator to just pay for a day pass for him.  If they say yes, then you have it in writing, and BAM!  The other way, you'd just pay for a one-night stay for him to enter the resort, which isn't too bad either considering his prices are already beyond-a-great-deal!

Soooo pumped to see your pics!!

I'm feeling frustrated with Joannis myself, but I thought I was just being an anxious bride.  I emailed her, she didn't respond after a week so I emailed Michelle Farinas and then heard from Joannis.  She offered me times for a call this week on Tuesday and I said either Wednesday or Thursday at 5.  No response.  I sent another email saying I was available next week.  I'm not sure what locations we have, if any and I don't want to be stuck in a "bad" location.  We'll see what happens.

I wish they would just communicate better.  I don't understand how anyone can be in this business and not communicate with their customers.

I finally got an email from Joannis.....but I have a feeling it is only because I contacted my TA and she called MP and told them they need to get going on things and stop leaving us brides that are leaving in less than a month hanging. My reply from Joannis is in my opinion half-assed. I had asked in my previous email to her what my options were for my reception since I noticed that you have to have a minimum of 20 people for a private reception outside. I asked if I could do dinner in a restaurant and rent a terrace for dancing and she replied that I would have to do dinner in a restaurant and that I could not have a private function because 12 people isn't enough. She didn't offer any other suggestions or anything. I literally felt like crying when I saw that reply. I don't know what I am going to do or if there are any hopes of having any type of event that will feel as close to a reception as I can get. I am not impressed with no suggestions as to what my options were. I guess its back to the drawing board and I will have to figure out what we are going to do for a reception. I leave in 21 days and feel like my miami coordinator has not helped me at all. She has just made me more stressed leaving me in the dark. I really hope that my on-site coordinator contacts me soon since I don't even know who that is either. :(

I think you've inspired by Jamie5280!  Your tags and welcome kit look great!

Party!!!

Hi Ladies,

I know how you feel. I had the same issue with Joannis, so I went to the manager and demanded to be assigned to an onsite.  Same day I got email from the onsite coordinator, Zaray.

Try to reach out to manager and maybe you will have some luck also?  Here's her info:

Good luck!

Hey Jamie5280, I sent you a PM with my email address.  I couldn't download your templates from here.  Something about the permissions.  When you get a chance can you pretty please email them to me?

How did you go about going around the WC in Miami?  I think I may need to do the same thing.

Who was the manager you contacted?

I have Zaray! I've been working with her for not even two weeks now and so far she has been great. She may not respond the same day, but she does answer all of my questions and has been helpful.

I'm not sure if she is new or anything.  I bitched to the " manager" about the service from Miami and demanded to work directly with my onsite coordinator.  Same day, I got an email from Zaray!

Congratulations on the new endeavor!  All of your DIY projects were great!  I only hope mine come out just as nice.

I also have Daniela and so far she has been great and gets back to me the same day!  I was provided her email address right before my 90 day more and she was not in touch until about 50 days prior.  she did email me today and said she will be out until 4/16...I thought it was nice she told me in advance!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
