Hi Ladies!

I've been following your thread for almost a month now and am really appreciative of ALL the information! Once I start actually planning I hope I can be of some use as well. I've also been following the MP 2013 Brides thread and someone said the ocean is soo full of seaweed, people don't even go in...is this true?! I'm kinda freaking out if it is.  I've read plenty of reviews that said there is a lot of seaweed on the beach, but the Palace is normally good about keeping it groomed?  We really want to have our ceremony/reception on the beach, but now I'm worried it's going to be with a view of an ugly ocean (is this even possible?) Thanks!!!

Hi Jamie. Pretty special day the 9 th of may then!!! I have my mums birthday 22nd April, my brothers 26th April, mine 28th April, my h2b birthday 5th may, my daughters birthday 3rd may, nieces 17th may and my dads 24th may. So why. It throw another date in their??? He he!! Getting a but stressed. Ow as my onsite wedding co,ordinator daniela lara is still not been in touch. Been two weeks now. Getting married in one month and yet to sign a contract. Everything I had organised with Beatriz had not been passed over to daniela. Trying it to worry but can't help it. Have everything my end sorted. But the things I am doing like ordering my flower girls pearl earring do not seem important without the wedding details finalised. A courteous email from them would sir face. I have my dress as well now. Anyone else getting married in the next month having these issues? Anyone else have daniela Lara? Thanks girls Nat x.

Hey ladies!  I was just talking to a co-worker today who has been to MP recently!

She said that the resort is gorgeous, Arrifeces is great as is the club house restaurant and the caribbean one on the Grand side.

She said becareful of bug bites (not mosquitoes) when you stand in the dark at night. She's not sure what they are, but they hurt.  Also, she said that MP will give you $300 in extra credits if you listen to their membership presentation.  Just keep saying no, and that you don't want food because you just ate or whatever.  It lasts about an hour and 15 minutes (if you want those extra credits).

She says if you want to go to a Palace resort that has a great beach, go to Sun Palace because it's right by the cove (softer and cleaner sand).  Moon Palace is located by the more rocky sea bed. =)

Hope this helps!!

Hi ladies

You all seem so wonderful and I love reading all of your posts! Great ideas-Thank you!

I have a 2 little ?'s I was hoping someone would be so kind to answer.

FLOWERS:   They just sent me all of the flower arrangements and their prices seem ridiculous. I know somewhere on here there was talk of an outside guy people had used and they liked him minus the fact he was late. Does anyone have info on him or a review? I don't like the free roses arrangement and was hoping something that popped color--gerber daisys maybe. all the boutonnieres, crosages and bridesmaid bouquets are going to totally add up. Any help w other options or what you ladies did would be great! Even hair flower is like $30-WOW

DJ:   I just heard back from the DJ service that palace resorts offers PSAV. I was hoping to pay extra for the DJ services for someone to keep the party going (a DJ himself). They said all they do is play a list of your songs...you have to tell them exactly what to say and when. They offer no extra props. What the HECK are you paying for? Someone else to push play on your freaking IPOD. Dancing and a fun reception is important...any suggestions you ladies have on keeping the party going and keeping everyone pumped up and entertained?

Thank you ladies for all of your help! Everyone has had such great ideas!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
