How was it getting your dress through security? Do you have to put it through the scanner? How was the airline about hanging it in the closet? I'm so worried because its so big and heavy. Much heavier than I thought it would be

So Wed. Joannis got all my original locations and flower orders reserved. Thank goodness! I'm all done with my OOT bags will post picks later today, It totalled 35lbs! My fiance is handling the packing of all this crap very well. Just glad I don't have to lug it all back after the wedding.  Have one more foot jewelry to make then I'm done with that too.

The kids came up yesterday, the ex sent my new step son up with none of the Summer clothes we bought him last year and no underware. I swear if I wasn't so happy I'd be screaming. So off we go to shop again for summer clothes

We leave Monday, I am so ready to be on the plan and done with all the planning. The weather says showers Sat I hope it changes or clears up for the 3 afternoon weddings that are going on.

Cant thank everyone enough for their support and ideas. This blog has been a god send!

Please don't tell me you are signing off already!!! You have been such an inspiration with all your DIY projects..you must be thrilled that the lab is officially closed!!

At 35 days until our BIG day, and 30 days before we leave for Mexico, my DIY lab is officially closed cheers.gif  Now I'm on to taking pictures of how we would like things set-up in order to give to our coordinator upon our meeting, packing and chilling.

BDW along with this particular forum has been a great great great thing!  BIG smile03.gifto my LADIES: PalaceBride2012, LadyDi1844, Jamie5280, Krsmith, Beatyea, SummerDawn, Steph and a few others.  It's hard to remember your username since I know your names by heart ;-)  If I have forgotten anyone, please charge it to my head and not my heart.  I love you ladies and look forward to meeting most in Cancun or in NY later this year.

In either case, I wish each of you a wonderful & magnificent wedding.  This site is full of great information and can at times be over whelming.  Seek your vision along with your FI and go for it! As my time is short, I will be on the forum less and less as I'm now finalizing things for our departure etc.  however; I will continue to pay it forward and either do a Planning thread (if times permits on the front end) and/or a MP review upon my return.

MP has changed so much from the genesis of our planning in late 2010 until now.  So make sure that you get things in writing and please know that unfortunately, what may apply to one bride may not necessarily apply to another especially if you have a different coordinator.  So you can imagine the difference in packages/information from 2012 to 2013.

For those getting married after the Colin Cowel packages begin, it may be worth it with all the fees that I see that the are trying to charge for set-up.

Take care, plan well and have an awesome wedding.

Awe thanks so much Speckles121,  I'm definitely not signing off but I know that given the past few weeks, I totally dont' get on as much.  I'm sure you will get to that point where you can't sign on because you will feel compelled to "add more" or re-do" LOL  But I'm so not gone.  I do need to make sure I pack and keep a log of what BM I gave what suitcase to bring LOL  and I simply want to relax... I have knots and crap all up in my neck so I need to see my massage therapist without having to come back and worry and defeat the purpose of the massage.

I have been like an energize bunny but I truly need to focus on "the work that I have been putting off at my job" and make sure my staff is okay without me for a month.

PM me if you have any questions and I will be sure to advise of the do's, don't and otherwise inquire when I return.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
