I got the bags at Target in the $1 aisle.  I also, got a couple hot pink ones, but the black is better for the couples/guys.  The t-shirts were from Vistaprint.  I just put the t-shirt together and waited for them to go on super sale.  I also got my brochures that I am going to mail a month beforehand for free, as well as my first aid stickers for free.  Love vistaprint!!!

Cups are a GREAT idea at an all Inclusive resort! Especially if you give a good tip at the beginning they will remember your cup! I am giving my bags ahead of time. We got everyone a 34 oz Bubba Cup (looking into engraving each guests initials) which is insulated and was amazing when my FI and I were in Punta Cana last year. Then my friend works for a leather company and we are getting leather luggage tags made. That's it for my gifts :) I may add some candles and bubble bath in my VIP bags ;)

Great! That is a good point that they will remember the cups! Where did you get the bubba cups from and how much did they cost?

My dad actually ordered them (we all have them already they are awesoem! They keep drinks cold at the beach, the 34 oz fit in a cup holder and the handel has a bottle opener on it. If we cant engrave them for a reasonable price we wont put anything on them. I want people to want to use them forever, so we are not putting our names on their gifts.

This may be the website. They were about 8 bucks each he said. To travel with them, we just stick socks or tioletries in them to save space. Its worth it!

It really is pathetic how useless Palace Resorts is, I sure hope our wedding works better than the planning! Here was my original question:

Does anyone know if there are certain room types only available at one or the other sides of the resort, or certain bed configurations at one or the other? Specifically, I am curious about the "Deluxe Resort View", the cheapest option (with king or 2 beds), and the Superior Deluxe Ocean View rooms. We blocked the Ocean View rooms but I want to know if someone choosing the Resort View rooms will be forced to be far away from us or can still be in the same section of the resort.
You guys gave me the following useful answers:
We originally had ocean view and deluxe rooms in our room block as well.  According to my TA you can still be in the same section (e.g. Sunrise, etc...) but there is no guarantee that any of the rooms will be close to one another.  I am sure your TA can request that the rooms be close to one another, but be prepared to possibly be in separate buildings in your section.  If I had to take a guess, the resort view could be in a totally different building than the ocean view rooms.  But I think as long as you guys are in the same section, it shouldn't matter too much!
I believe Sunrise is the only section with double beds available.
I also emailed the resort through the website, here was their answer:
Sir reservations weddings department is in charge of make the reservations, but the rooms assignment is in the font desk at the moment of your check in, you can request the front desk staff that you want your rooms together, and however is subject to availability, but they do their best to accommodate you and your group together.
Soooooo helpful.

So, I finally have all the contents of my OOT bags.  I still need to make the tags, print off the welcome letter and get small bags for the contents, but I just wanted to show everyone what I am putting in there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
