Moon Palace 2012 Brides

I hope they give you even better locations than you wanted, the biggest room possible for you and your husband, and the most amazing service they have ever provided anyone with for your entire group!!

I am with you, on the DW wedding being stressful! Besides hearing everyones complaints or issues, having the AHR is bascially planning 2 weedings (which people told me) and I said, no "mexico" is the easy part.

I cant imagine how you are feeling, you are so close!! I am keeping my fingers crossed they do everything in their power to make it worth your while. Im thinking the best locations, rooms and service they have ever provided...EVER!

How in the world does Palace not have any ideas as to what the hell they are doing!! I'm 18 days out and no one wonders with Ivis just walking out maybe they should look through the upcoming wedding and make sure things are set!!

Joannis is very nice and said she would call in all my requests since I'm so close to my wedding date but Ivis had nothing set! My flower order wasn't put in, my dinner reservation was on the wrong day, my sites are still not confirmed. I swear to goodness, if I could I would go with another resort. I am so unhappy and I plan to let Palace know.

I'm not happy Joannis said well with it being so late in the process she hopes my locations can be approved. Let me tell if they can't I'm going to raise holy hell!! Its not my fault they have incompetent workers.

Then I ask about my on-site coordinator and why she hasn't contacted me?!! Joannis said she would call her as well to get her in touch with me but really she should know I'm having my wedding in 18 days and she needs to at least email me to let me know who she is!

I don't know why I thought a DW would be less trouble, so far its a friggin nightmare!

Hello everyone,

I am just curious to those of you having issues with the wedding planning at MP. Did you ladies book directly with MP or did you have a destination wedding consultation help you book? Just curious if there is a trend in where the issues are coming from. I hope everything gets better for you.

hi my wedding is 2 days before yours and i dont have anything confirmed either. I originally had Beatriz but when she rang me realised she wasnt actually my WC after weeks of emails and she said that Ivis was, I have never actually heard anything from Ivis?? so email after email to Beatriz who was forwarding them to Ivis I got an email from Joannis saying she is now my WC. She rang me last week to let me know nothing is confirmed and she will see what she can do? As im from the UK she said she cant do any salon bookings for me I have to do them direct which im still awaiting replies from??? Onestly booking a DW has been a nightmare! MP will most defo be hearing my thoughts on all this when we arrive!!

Hi ladies,

I have been in contact with the photographers for MP. Just a FYI for everyone, if you haven't chosen a photo package already, I would recommend doing so before April 1, 2012 as I was just informed the prices will be increasing after that date. Just thought I would let you know to save on some money if you are using the photographers through MP.

Hi Emma, Not many if us on here from the uk. What a great site though. Yes you qualify for unlimited private functions. Go to the palace resorts website and go to wedding and then group benefits. I have 88 room nights booked. I am having a welcome dinner the day after we get there. Then I am have a cocktail hour on tucan terrace and a private function on the carribean terrace. There is an extra charge to have these outside but defiantly worth it.:D

Hi Hun, Sorry to hear you are having these issues. I did say it was DIY. Lol!! You need to contact Karl's Estrada to make your salon and spa treaments. I sent this info. In one of the PDFs. Your tour operator should of given you a brochure or sent yo a file with this info. Let me know if you need anything. Happy to help. X

Thanks everyone on the Congratulations!  It was very informal (I was in my scrubs from work), so it still doesn't feel official, yet.  Here's my update: I got a new wrist cast, which is fabulous.  I can actually bend my elbow (it went all the way up my arm).  We leave for MP exactly 3 weeks from today.  They said they will take my cast completely off 2 weeks from today, as long as I behave myself.  I think I'm going to have to wear a wrist guard around, and just take it off for the wedding.  Either way, I'm excited it will be coming off.  I have all of my wedding stuff bought and packed, except I haven't made paper cones for my petal toss, and I am still working on making our bouquets.  Those will probably come down to the last minute.  I'll post pics when I'm done.  Hang in there, girls!  I know, I was waiting on an email back from Ivis, too.  I guess now I'm going to have to wait until I get down there to finalize things with Kalena.  If she gives me any problems, I'll be mad since the wedding department makes it impossible to organize everything.  Fingers crossed.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
