Moon Palace 2012 Brides

This still bums me out!!!!  That is still way too expensive for me!  I am not happy, and even more upset that I can't get in touch with anyone!  I am determined for them to keep their original $65 set up fee!  Or else I am going to have some stuff to sell, unfortunately, not to MP brides!

I now have to do some research and see if it will just be cheaper to rent everything rather than buy it and pay the $200 set up fee! I hate all these new rules! I hope the 2010 and 2011 brides realize how lucky they were! :)

I totally agree- it is waaaay to expensive!! I bet if you have an email quoting you the orignial $65 set up fee, and you argue with them, they will honor it! I have no chance in he!! that I will get Janessa down to the $65 since I wa not offically booked until after 2/1/2012....

Im going to have to use that tactic once I get my new coordinator bc I have Ivis. I booked in Dec 2011 so they should honor the $65 fee!

ya, the thing is, I can't find the e-mail saying $65 :(  But I know I got one early on, that's how I knew the price.  I thought I did a diligent job of keeping all e-mails.  But I e-mailed Janina again and told her that she was the one that told me that originally (because she was).

As for Speckles....girl, your wedding is a little further off, so I wouldn't be surprised if they give you the higher rates :(

WOW!!!  This makes me LOL.  I have Ivis and my wedding is in 3 months, but you get an e-mail???  MP is seriously starting to make me so very angry!  Makes me wish I didn't book there!

I would be so upset with MP as well! I just emailed her, I was happy to wait for 3 months out, because I myself dont really want to deal, but now I'm getting nervous that ill never hear from anyone!

No worries ladies, I completely understand your frustration and do not take it personally at all!  From reading this thread, the one thing I learned is that you have to be pushy with them.  I contacted my sales rep, Michelle Farinas, who originally told me that Ivis will be contacting me and since she is leaving, I wanted to be contacted by my new coordinator immediately.  Low and behold the next email I received was from Joannis.  I hope you hear back from her quickly!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
