Are they making you pay for every chair over the 35 that you were probably quoted in the wedding package?  I heard that they were making people pay 6-7 bucks a chair for every person over 35??

Well today is the day where I go and see "The Other ONE" for the first time since I tried her on and met her designer.  That's right, I'm off to do my 1st fitting at 2pm with my mom and aunt by my side.

This weekend was FAB as ever!

-Everyone that booked with us has PAID in full! We have 26 room totally 93 room nights.  Can you say FREE, FREE, FREE

-My little ladies in training aka flower girls, were over to the house on Saturday with their mothers to try on their dresses. OMG so adorable indeed.  So much so that they did not want to take them off.  The mom's were on the laptop and phones finding their shoes (decisions, decisions, decisions) so glad I removed myself from that process as I'm so in love with SHOES...it truly isn't healthy for my FI LOL

-Cuncrawl booked for the 19th with 16 women thus far joining us.  If 4 more women join us then we will have a private Crawl.. Muy Caliente

-On Friday, I did a reprint of our pre-travel brochures and printed the Room credit PDF from MP to include in our packets.  I will mail these off along with their luggage tags around the 3rd week in March so that everyone can receive them exactly a month before the wedding.

With our final count we have 61 people which includes 3 children. So this week I will order our monogrammed towels to put in our OOT.  And finalize decor purchases.  Then I can get to packing...  YEAH!

Happy DIYing & Planning

Upgrading from a Oceanview Room to a Concierge room with your resort credits is easy.  The extra charge is like $60 per night at the most.  It may not even be that much.

For which function are you talking about?

For the ceremony, some locations like the Gazebos can accommodate 150 guests...where as the beach wedding locations do not technically have a limit on guest capacity.

The only place that quoted 35 people max was for the dinner reservation.  I imagine that is what you are talking about.  We are planning on having about 70 guests, but with our room nights, should easily qualify for free events.  We will use the dinner reservation for 35 for our rehearsal dinner, and only invite immediate family and bridal party (totaling about 30-35 people).

I personally have not heard of MP charging $6-7 a chair for any over 35, but again, I'm not sure which function you are talking about?

Hey!! That's cool!! I was wondering if I was the only one doing those colors!!  I think I am gonna do coral (pink coral), tiffany blue, and navy blue.  When are you getting married?  Maybe we can share and compare!  My name is Katie by the way and I'm from North Carolina.

I'm not a fan of the taste offondant but it always look nice and smooth.  Chantilly is like buttercream frosting.

I decided on vanilla with fondant.  But I have no idea what the difference is between fondant and chantilly!  I tried to look it up but couldn't really find anything helpful.  The other choices were chocolate, strawberry, fruit, lemon, or cheese.

Any advice on what to choose?  Anyone who's already been married at Palace resorts have any input?  THANK YOU!!

You can do different flavors but its $100 to add a second tier to the cake.

Its my new addiction! I know that fondant is thicker and on the cake will look smoother I think, chantilly I'm not so sure about but if I was to guess it is a lighter creamier frosting... I prefer the look of fondant...  And that's funny u ask about the favors because my FI and I are having the discussion of vinilla

or chocolate... I wonder if u can do different ters different flavors??? You'll have to let me know.. Anyways I'm super excited for u!

It was $400 resort credit to upgrade at the hotel at check in and $200 cash to upgrade before you get there. Wasnt sure if you had the list of everything included in the concierge level so I attached it just in case.

Ok I'm over posting tonight but I have to share I'm so stressed with Ivis!!! So she finally gets back to me after nothing since our initial phone call and she has things all mixed up, I'm 39 days away. Grr, most of all she had me having a symbolic ceremony instead of a civil ceremony.

I wanted to extend the cocktail hour to 2 hours and its $60 per person, a little steep when we can go to the lobby bar and drink for free.

But on a good note,  I got my OOT bags finally took me forever to pick some, got a lot of my stuff to put in them and have my dress fitting on Thursday, can't wait!!

Happy Valentines Day Ladies!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
