$250??? That is crazy. They have said all along its $60 set up fee for bringing our own stuff... for $250 I would just have my bridesmaids or family do it because that is nuts. I would definitly fight that! I hate how they change everything on us all the time... so frustrating!!

Yeah I thought about asking my friend who is an event planner who is attending the wedding to just set stuff up and get her a gift for doing it for us!

That better not be true!  If that's the case, for me I would have just got all the stuff at the MP instead!!! It would be cheaper as I only have 20 people coming!!!!  I already bought my chair bows and table runners.  I will be livid!

I have Ivis, too.  She contacted me at 70 days for phone meeting.  I have also sent her emails since.  I am 48 days out, and I just now got a response back from my emails.  Be patient.  Hang in there.  I was just getting ready to call her today, but I had an email this morning.  Hopefully you'll hear from her soon.

I'm 46 days out and she hasn't answered any of my questions or confirmed my locations. Anyone have an email of a supervisor I could contact for help? I tried emailing my sales coordinator Geraldine but didn't get anything back from her either. I'm starting to panic just a little!!! hissyfit.gif

Thanks

$250 wow they lost their rabbit #$@ mind.  I have in my communication with IIiana the cost of $65.  I will be taking all of my emails with me and print them off in color so that they can see who said what (if I run into any problems) definitely fight this.

Yup.... I feel kinda bad for the 2013 and beyond brides because if they are starting to pull this crap now, who knows what they will have to encounter.  However; it looks like they are trying to get ALL of the business.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
