Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Yes, I have heard Arrecifes food is lovely.  I have book our Welcome dinner there. I have done loads of research as had this booked for 18 months.  I am getting married at the Tucan Gazebo.  I am having a cocktail hour on the Tucan Terrace with a firework display.  I am having a private function on the Carribean Terrace with a Mariachi band.  I cant wait!! Literally counting the days.  I have made welcome packs for everyone.  Don't know how I am going to get them there as weigh about 1kg each. May have to give them out before we go.  I have just put a map of the resort in mine with all the times and locations of events.  Also personalised tshirts and mints.  I have personalised favours for our wedding receptions.  Chocolate, bubbles and a key ring in a nice gift bag.  I have gone for Metallic Sands by Colin Cowe for the reception decor.  Anyone else gone for this?  I understand it's new for this year.  I booked the diamond package before this but did not thing about decor till now.  All pretty similar now.  Not many UK Moon palace 2012 brides on here.  I thank you all for all the helpful info..  It's nice to join in with everyones celebrations.  I have 4 year olds boy/girls twins and a 6 year old daugter.  I have all their attire, may post a few photos tmrw.  My son has had the same suit made as his dads.  He is giving me away.  How fab!!!

I talked to my cordinator and she said 3 nights. I think that is BS and he said he has been able to use a day pass or one nite stay.  What are you doing for this situation?  Also does anyone know anything about the in house photogs? Thanks again!!!

Book your photographer a room for the night, and tell your wedding coordinator one of your guests are taking the photos.  At the point you book the room for Juan Navaro, he is your guest.

No,  you cannot use resort credit towards optionaol wedding services. Only towards wedding packages.  We where allowed touse $1500 towards our Diamond Wedding package.  However, I have asked.  I spoke to Katya Nava who is the photographer and Karla Estada and the salon.. They both said you cannot.  Bit of a bummer though!!

Even though I have heard that the outcome is beautiful, the communication sucks!!!! It seems as if every bride is almost told something different! That is what i dont like at all.  This is what makes it difficult!! How are we supposed to know what is true! They really need to come up with a better system!!! I asked about a photographer the other day, and i was told that I had to book 2 nights for him.  That is just ridiculous!!! Why cant i purchase a day pass??

Hello everyone,

I will officially be a Moon Palace 2013 bride tomorrow!!

I have read all of your posts and am very excited to get started on my planning.  You have all given me some great ideas.

I have one problem I am hoping you can help me with. My contract is due tomorrow and I having trouble deciding on a time for my ceremony.  I currently have 5pm reserved in the Chapel. I was then planning on a 1 hour cocktail from 6-7 and a reception from 7-11.  The problem is I finally received the outdoor reception options from my Miami contact today and noticed that all outdoor events must end by 10 pm.  I checked the Moon Palace Wiki and noticed that some of you are having your ceremony at 5 and was wondering if you could send me your time lines.  I do not mind to change the time of the ceremony to earlier and figured you ladies would guide me in the right direction.  I apologize if yo have already posted this info buy after reading all the pages of this and the 2011 thread over the last few weeks my brain is scrambled.

I appreciate any info you can share.

thanks

Thank you ! I just didn't want to end up with no photog :)  Now I didn't book my rooms threw wedding sales I actually found a cheaper package price and I really don't have many guests to accumulate the extra. I wonder if I just book him one threw orbits or something if that will work.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
