Moon Palace 2012 Brides

I can't believe how busy everyone has been and how much everyone has accomplished.

Ndividul- Girl, you have one heck of an amazing talent!!! Every single thing you have shared with us has been impeccable and OMG those welcome passports...out of this world! Cheers cheers.gif on a fabulous job! Your guests are definitely going to feel extra special. How lucky are those that will be attending! I am in absolute awe of the creativity and beautiful projects that both you and Coco have kindly shared with us. It almost makes me wish that I had attempted more DIY projects. However, coming from a person that has difficulty drawing a straight line with a ruler, I'm afraid my projects would look more like kindergarten projects.

LadyDi - Everything that you said about your daughter is true ... she is a great kid. The pictures of your shower are lovely and I love, love, love the idea of the personalized baskets for each holiday. How is the quest for a new bridesmaid dress for her going? If I may make a suggestion, you may want to try David's Bridal or Alfred Angelo. You can find a style that she feels confident in and then order in about every color. If she likes more "bling" you can always add a jeweled brooch or decorated lace to take things up a notch.

Kris10kay - You look amazing in your dress! Best wishes for the wedding that you have dreamt about and envisioned for so long. Please don't forget to check in on us after your return. I'm sure you'll have some good advice to share.

ChipmunkRN - Kudos on your passport invitations! They turned out perfect! My only question ... with as busy as you have been, when did you find time to complete this project???

P.S.-Check your PM messages when get a moment.

Coco - Congratulations on the new addition to the family! If you haven't done so already, check out Pet Edge for stuff for him. - Not that he needs anymore of anything, but it may save you a few bucks because from what I can tell Mr. Cesar is gonna be one spoiled puppy dog. He is too cute! My parents also have a boxer, Sophie. She's always been a great family dog with the most wonderful temperament. I know you will not regret your decision. The only negative thing that I can say about this breed, if you haven't encountered it already, is their flatulence problem. Lol! Unfortunately they don't outgrow this one, but the positives so outweigh this negative.

Lastly, I am happy to report that last Wednesday I received the phone call from Ivis Hitchcock that I have been anxiously awaiting for ..... my locations have finally been confirmed. woot2.gif

My wedding will take place in the Toucan Gazebo, the cocktail hour on the Venado Terrace, and the reception dinner on the Caribbean Terrace. Apparently from what I was told the hold up occurred because of miscommunication between Miami and onsite coordinators in Cancun. Iliana Montebruck, who is located in Cancun had told me back in September that the Toucan Gazebo was indeed confirmed for me, but that she could not confirm only request the Toucan Terrace and the Caribbean Terrace which I was also asking for. So I never really worried about the ceremony location just the ones for the cocktail hour and reception. Thank goodness, I kept that email because Ivis told me that only the Bugambilia Gazebo and the chapel would be available. I was ok with the chapel but the other gazebo would have been way on the other side of the resort. Because I had the email, they did honor the Toucan Gazebo. So my best advice to future brides is to get everything in writing!

A quick update, Cesar is home and did an excellent job in the car.  We went to PetSmart and the ladies tried to steel him from us already ;-)  He is home and slowly getting use to his new pad which he did the number 1 twice.... but we were prepared for this.

It looks like a lot of you had a great weekend!

I actually have gotten several items for our wedding.  The key card holders came in along with the coil wristlets to go with them.  Our Maracas came in as well.  I was able to purchase our OOT bags from Target and I can't wait to start filling those!  Now the fun stuff can begin!

Hope everyone is doing well!

I'm getting married on Tucan beach.  If you PM me, I have some pics I can share with you.  I hear that receptions and cocktail hours on the beach itself cost extra --- more than it would on a terrace.  Hope this helps.

In the pictures it looks a bit small. Also, is anyone planning on having the reception on the beach?? Thanks for your help.

I know Michael's up and down, LOL, and I haven't seen them.  But I have seen passport covers online, since I was contemplating doing this at one time.  Good luck!

This whole process can be discouraging at times, but don't worry ---- it will all come together!!  We're here for each other!

Oh Ladies, all your DIY stuff is sooo fabulous. It inspired me to get started on my stuff and me and my paper cutter were BFF last night... hopefully I can assemble lots of stuff this week and post pictures!! Woooo!

I also found a dress for my legal ceremony at home for only $50... steal! And I found the ring bearers the cutest shorts... I am crossing off stuff on my list and I must admit it feels gooooood!!

Question - does anyone have the list of songs you need for the ceremony? I saw it written out once like brides walk - 1 song, signing - 1 song and the order but of course I can't find it now that I need it. And do we have to have the ceremony music on an ipod or cd??

Thanks ladies ;)

I have my 2 flower girls who will be turning 4 &5 shortly after the wedding.  I have the Princess Tiana theme going so there's a crown, glasses, bracelets, fingernail polish & flavored but clear chapstick.  There's also crayons, colorbook, a jewelry box, a ball and paddle (old school toy), stamps and pad.  All of these will go in their princess Tiana bag that I found for $2.00 somewhere LOL  and most of these products were 1 or 2 bucks found at Michaels, Five & Below, Marshalls, & Target.

For my 11 yr old he's into Yu-Gi-Oh, Transformers and Airplanes so this things are based on that.  However; his my nephew and sister-in-law will be attending all the way from Alaska (so exciting) so of course he will have his older cousin to hang with.

I don't have a list or order but I know that you need a total of 5 songs.  If I come across the order I will send it your way.

My suggestion is to search on here for Moon Palace Restaurants.  There's a fabulous thread that lists all kinds of info.  And you can make your selection easier then!

Are we allowed to just do one song and time it out so certain people enter at different times?

Thank you!  I bought the burlap and fabric from Hobby Lobby.  They're called "trading cards."  And I just stamped images on them, hot glued those babies, and tied them up!  Thanks for the compliments!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
