Hi Summerdawn:

Im so sorry to hear that your nana passed away,im pretty sure she will be on your heart forever,  yes time goes fly so quick, its very good idea to include something in your DIY in memorial of your nana, or maybe you can use a brooch with a picture of her, so in that way she will be with you in your wedding day.

Hope you feel better soon!

Hi SummerDawn!

I am sooo sorry to hear about your grandmother!!!  Big Hugs to you!!!!!   :(  Both my mom and FI's mom passed 2 years ago and we are going to reserve a chair for them at the ceremony with a flower on it as well as have a table with their pictures on it.  I think it would be cute if they were pix of them when they got married, but I am sure my dad's wife would freak if I had a pic of my mom and dad on their wedding day!  HAHAHA, actually it would be hilarious...Anyways...back to you!  I also worked for a company that also did charms and her work it great!  She specifically has bridal charms as well.  So, I would look into Kimbra Studios as well as Etsy.  kimbrastudios.com.  If I was doing a charm I would use Kimbra hands down!!!

I havent even been back to the store to try it on. Where has the time gone??????

On another note, my nana passed away new years day and I would like to include something in memory of her...I know people have posted some of this stuff but I never looked closely because I didnt think I would need anything :( Is etsy my best bet for a small memorial charm?

Hi Summer,

I'm so sorry to hear about your nana. I hope you and your family are doing well.  I have a friend who does customized jewelry and I'm having her make a pendant with a picture of my paternal grandparents. Check out her website at:

Take a look. I love her work and she's an amazing person to work with. Let me know if you need anything at all!

So my colors have been fuschia and light pink and I have tried to throw in other colors over the months but i really wasn't happy with anything so I left it at that and I love it. Now my daughter who is my maid of honor has been having a really hard time finding a dress. She is in her first year of law school and it has been brutal on her not to mention she planned my whole shower (that is coming in 2 weeks shhh lol) so I have been patient. We have gone a few times and everytime she finds a dress she likes and than for some reason the next day or even a week later we have found out for whatever reason it wasn't going to happen. So after waiting for her to get a dress all this time I had to move on and order the other dresses and decor and hope that she would find something pink or fuschia. weel she went tonight and found something she absolutely LOVES but we realized after that it is CORAL (a pinky coral) but coral. I do not know what to do. Can I do coral and fuschia??? or should i make her go back to the drawing board. I am so upset. I want her to be happy and feel beautiful. She is the most wonderful daughter but i am going to choke her. I got the flower girl dresses. I got them with both fuschia and pink sashes and flowers and can use either. it's simple to change the flowers in the netting and he very generously sent me enough for both because i wasn't sure what color pink my daughter was going to get. see below. please help???????   tina1.jpg mad2.jpgfranks.jpg

OMG! After hearing story after story of brides having difficulties with family and the wedding party I was so glad we kept our list small and only our very close friends and family. Now 65 days out my FI bestman just TEXTED he wont be coming. I am so pissed. How do you agree to be a bestman, not the grooms man, not a guest but a BESTMAN and not follow through! My FI is trying to be understanding but I just don't get it. Nothing would keep me from my bestfriends wedding! WTF!

During the welcome/intro of the ceremony, the officiant will say:  Each of your family members and friends here today has chosen a shell that not only represents their unique individuality and their presence at your wedding today but also has a meaningful word on it that represents a value youâ€d like to honor in your marriage together.  You also each have a shell of your own that symbolizes your previous separate lives, separate sets of friends, separate families, and the different lifeâ€s journeys that you once traveled.  I ask that everyone hold this shell throughout the ceremony.  Fill your shell with positivity, prayer, wishes, and blessings of good will for Casey and Tammy… for the future of their marriage.

Later, after the vows and rings have been exchanged, the officiant will say:  We will now pause to collect the shells that have been blessed with good fortune.

The union of these shells has now symbolically joined your once separate lives. Through you, just as the shells have been combined, so now are your friends and family joined. Your once solitary lifeâ€s paths are also now one, and all that was once separate is now shared. In this sharing, you both will find new strength and joy as together you forge a new life path. Shells stand the test of time. Over time they can even become stronger and more beautiful. Let these shells be a reminder and a memorial of the love, blessings and support that your family members and friends have provided you here today.

The chest will be filled with sand with the shells on top. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
