Okay ladies remember when I posted my bridesmaids barefoot jewelry?  Well this is MY barefoot jewelry!!!  I just finished making them.  Sorry the pic is turned I couldn't change it and I thought you'd get the idea.  Charlie, our little blind runt yorkie who we love dearly was sniffing my feet while I took the pic!  Bahaha, she's a riot.  Looks as if she's checking out the jewelry.  Nope, her crazy blind self is trying to chew on my bandage.  Love her!

Hi kelly:

I am not sure but they wouldn't let my mom use her credits towards mine when i originally asked but than decided to go complimentary and add on so since you can't pay for add ons anyway it didn't matter and besides it seems every wc gives different answers lol.

But the reception is $400 per table of ten from what I understand that is no matter how many people you have. Only the restaurant reservation is for 35 people or less.

Also how much would it cost to have your reception more then 30 people

thanks :)

WOW!!!  I am so happy she went and applied!!!  YAY!!!!  Definitely do not re-print the programs, you gave a deadline along with ample time so, it is what it is....  But I am happy that she is going to be there!!!  :)

After much to do about a whole lot of nothing, my future DIL applied for her passport today!  FI is so excited and has an extra pep in his step which is so great to see.

Now, you know that I have already said (after her and my cousin missed the deadline of 12/1, and after so many "hey we need an answer") that she wasn't going to be a bridesmaid.  And heck she didn't have her passport anyway so it was a done deal right?  Well, I'm not one to that will typically feel bad about a decision that I make, because more often that not, it is thought out, with the positive and negative outcomes weighed, etc.  Yet, with FI being so happy just by the mere fact that she applied, I think (if it comes up by her only) that I will allow her to be a bridesmaid.  After all, I still have her dress etc.. and since she is 19 I don't expect her to pay me for it.

So for now, I will see if:

1) she contacts me, as she still haven't done so.  The text was only to her dad about the passport

2) if she contacts me and still want to be a bridesmaid I will allow her to be, however;

3) I am not paying new programs (as I can no longer print from work without being caught as Mr. Canon's new code tells on you.) So although she will be apart of the wedding if #1 & 2 happen in some fashion, her name will not appear in our wedding programs.  ***it is not an option at all for a reprint*** as I will not spend $$ on something that I was able to do for free.

What are your thoughts ladies?

Good Morning Ladies (and gent)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Yesterday was a pretty exciting day to be a Bronco fan!!!  Fun game to watch for sure!  GO BRONCOS!!!!!  cheer2.gif

Anyways...tonight my FI and I are going to see a man about bands.  Our wedding bands that is!  YAY!!!  My FI went to a individual jeweler (wholesaler) for my engagement ring, so we are seeing him tonight about my band and seeing if he can customize my FI's band to how he wants it.  He has a table that has real Ivory in it, and wants to somehow incorporate that into his band, so we shall see!  He should be able to, since my ring was was completely customized.  :)  Regardless, though, I am pretty excited!  :)

Thanks this was helpful. We will do the complimentary wedding and add on as well, and do our own decorations.

The reason I was asking about the reception was because I saw if you have 75 room nights in total you get unlimited events, (cocktail hour, reception) and we wont have much more then 30, so I don't see a point in paying 1600 for an extra 10 people you know.

If you have 60 nights (which i just made ;)) you get a free reception instead of the cocktail hour so that was a plus. I am not sure what you mean by an extra $1,600 for an extra 10 people? I have about 30 also and i thought all private function do not have a limit as long as you pay per person. Only the restaurants have a limit of 35 to put together.

Oh What I ment was, paying 400 per table for 4 tables for example. What my understanding of it was, if you are over 30 people you would pay for everyone, ex. 40 people = 4 tables of 10 :)

Where will you have your reception ? Will you pay extra to have it out on the terrace even though you have met your 60 night requirement ?

Unfortunately they cannot on the packages.  The cost is $400 per table of 10

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
