I purchased stuffing for $0.50CDN (again, didn't use all of it) and ribbon on sale for under $1.00.

Sew an oval pillow and stuff it.  Stitch your ribbon on the pillow.  Hot glue gun.  DONE!

So for less than $30 for Canadian ladies, I was able to DIY my own ring bearer pillow.  For you ladies in the states, I can probably guess it would cost you closer to $20!! <3

I apologize for the lighting in my house.  The shell is pearly white, satin pillow is white and the ribbon is champange.

I contacted a few travel agents instead of booking directly with them.  She was able to handle the calling and calling to get a response.  Just so you know, the response time isn't the quickest or at least as fast as I liked.  My travel agent pitched in to handle to changes to the wedding contract too.

Okay, so now I'm nervous! 

 

I was planning on going with the photographers they provide because of the no outside vendors rule, but now I'm nervous.  The pictures are so important to me!  Where can I look to see some sample pictures from the MP photographers?

Did I miss something?  Did something happen in Mexico recently?  I got my first RSVP "no" and she was like "You didn't hear about Mexico?" and "We don't feel safe" but she wouldn't elaborate...?

I decided to go through a TA, I loved having them do the legwork and deal with the slow responses, etc. It kept me from stressing. Plus, family can make payments toward their stay to the travel agency. She answers emails at the craziest times of night sometimes =D  Have a great time planning!

There were some killings in Mexico City recently, drug related. That's relatively a relatively new occurence. Nothing new or shocking has happened. People don't realize how huge mexico is...or how completely different the yucutan is. Sad =(

Gosh I had the same thing happen with my FI mom..she asked about some beheadings in the Riviera area. NO there is nothing going on there and I actually let everyone know how far crime was from our location. The last incident was the equivalent of something happening in Georgia being accounted for in Texas so that is so annoying!

Hi guys!

 

So I need to vent a little...I am pretty sure that my friendship with 2 people has come to an end!    This has been a long time coming because of the awful things they have done and said to me over the past 3 almost 4 years so I am not sure why I am sad!?!?!  They both have decided not to come to my wedding, which I thought I got over until yesterday.  (Oh and they are best friends, which means they gang up and talk sh*t about me every time they get together!!!)  One of the girls and I were supposed to get together and she canceled on me 4 times, which means she obviously doesn't want to see me, and she never contacted me to re-schedule again!  (and like I am going to contact her again! ) The other one, I finally told her that my feelings are hurt that I don't have ONE friend coming, and I got snide comments back, so I kind of stopped being polite and now she won't talk to me!!!  HA!  But the kicker is, I know they go around talking about me and how it's all my fault they our friendship is flailing!  NO accountability on their end whatsoever!  I haven't been the "bestest" friend at all times, but I would never do and say some of the things they have.  So I am sure you asking yourselves, why would you want to stay friends???  We were College roommates and friends for 15 yrs and were sooo close until I moved to Houston over 3 year ago, I keep waiting for things to change.

 

Ok, thanks for letting me vent, I am trying and trying not to let them get to me, but I just can't get over it!

 

So now I have a question, do I invite them to my bridal shower and bach. party!?  It's a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario.  I am the bad person if I don't invite them, but I am pretty sure they won't come anyways!  Which will p*ss me off all over again!

 

Thanks again for letting me vent!!!!!!!!  I just need to talk it out sometimes and I can't trust anyone else~!  Funny, right!?  that I trust you guys over people I have knows for years!!!!!  xoxoxo

Hey ladies!  Quick question- does anyone know of any recent MP wedding reviews? I have not came across  a new one in months and I love reading them!  P.S. I'm expecting all of my lovely April bride friends to post great ones (with lots of fun pics and dos/don'ts) so I can live vicariously until June!
