Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone was changing their package to one of the new CC collections? They look beautiful but i was curious if it was worth the extra money and if anyone else was thinking the same thing.

Also, I am getting nervous as far as photography is concerned. I have seen some amazing pics from people who hired their own outside photographers. Does anyone have recent pictures from a Moon Palace wedding that they can share?? The pictures are the most important to me so I want to make sure the photographers they supply are quality. I also need to get an idea of what a good reception are might be.

Glad to have joined this site, I have found it really helpful! So excited for my June 2012 wedding!!!

Any insight would be much appreciated!

I looked at the new packages too and just decided that it was too costly for how many items we really didn't need. We found a great local florist so we'll be using him to do the ceremony/reception flowers. He'll deliver to the hotel and the WC will set up. It'll be a fraction of what the costs would have been. But, if you are in love with a package you should do it!

As for photography, I looked at the sample books that they had available at the resort and was not impressed. Some brides have been very happy with it from what I've read on this forum, but I did not feel that I would be one of them. I could't afford Del Sol (even though I am completely in love with their work), but I did love the work of their other, lower priced company, La Luna.  I posted a link to an even they did at moon palace.

Happy planning and congrats on the upcoming wedding!

Do we have to book all the guest rooms through the same travel agent (or the hotel itself) in order to be able to get the group perks?

My fiance and I decided yesterday that we are going to stay at the Moon Palace but we don't have dates yet. But yay!!

Thanks in advanced!

you will need to have a group contract in place and book through the same TA to get the amenities that go with the group block (free rooms, free nights, upgrades, free events etc.)

we do ALOT of palace weddings and they are sponsors here on the forum.  If you want more info on group rates and perks you can go here: http://www.wrighttravelagency.com/leads/inquiry/

My aunt has a Palace membership and she says they get discounts and perks. It may be better then to book through her membership . But I will keep this at hand in case things dont work out. I wonder how much of a discount we would get? Thanks a lot anyways!!

From my understanding they bring the bouquet with them upon picking you up. So time would be very short to do this.

I'm thinking of taking the free bridal bouquet at the resort and separating them in half for two bridesmaids.  Has anyone done this?  Also, what should I bring for that?  Just floral tape?!

Can we ask them for it earlier? I wanted to decorate mine with preserved flowers I'm bringing from home to match the corsages and boutonnieres I'm making myself.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
