I'm still getting used to the circle cutter, so this one was a bit rough looking.  Practice makes perfect!!

Thanks to Coconoir for the door hanger template!  I got the ideas for the sayings from different forums on here about door hangers. :)

The DIY lab will be open all weekend!!  LOL!

Happy Happy Saturday Ladies,

Well today was the day that we went to visit the puppies and to choose the little fellow that would be coming home with us.  It was a great day indeed!!  I will keep it short by saying that we arrived at 1p and didn't leave until 3:53pm and when we left my son was in tears as he did not want to leave (love me some him).  From the pictures we had our eye set on two dogs, but guess what? from the time that we walked in the door until we left Shakespeare was all over my son and I.  Kim (the most wonderful breeder) took plenty of pictures, however these were the ones that I got from my iPhone 4S (FI upgraded me for Christmas YAY so my pictures have flash.. go him, go hime, go 32G).. reel it in Coco this is about the puppy ;-)

Here are pictures from the time we stepped in the Peiffer's home, until we left.  Shakespeare comes home on Jan 21st

He didn't even take his coat off (1st 5 minutes)                                                             Picture below is off the momma Lily.  She is so great and loved the toys we brought.

Shakespeare is TOO cute!!  Looks like Jeremiah was in his 7th heaven.  :)

BTW, I think it's fantastic that you're bringing a puppy home for your son.  As a child, I always wanted a puppy, and I feel that most children want one.  There's something about really learning how to take care of an animal that helps you grow and become a better person.  What an amazing gift for your son and your family.

Hola Ladies,

Thanks so much for your heartfelt comments!  All of you are so amazing and I thank God for this site and for all of you.  Jeremiah was so sad in the car, and once we were home he held on to the toy that he picked out yesterday (before our visit), for his puppy.  No amount of "let's countdown", Jan is almost here etc.. would work so I let him have (as I didn't wrap it yet) his upgraded phone.  I know ladies, I know... but my heart was melting for him so I have him his iPhone 3GS (although he can not carry it until Christmas...I brought him this "manly" case.)  He is such an amazing kid (I know I'm biased), but my future scientist works so hard everyday, does his chores and is super responsible.  But I won't let him sucker me again LOL

Because I knew that we were going to get a dog, I did not do a Amazon Wish List for my family this year, instead I asked everyone to either give gift cards to pet smart, visa gift cards or things done related.  That way Jeremiah can have fun with his puppy, shopping etc..

Happy Holidays to you and yours!  For those that are traveling, I wish you traveling mercies to and from.

Ok a little off topic and it's kind of sad I havent thought about it before hand...but does anyone know what type of legalities you have to take care of before you get married in another country? or even when we arrive back in the states? I understand it might be different from state to state   (not sure why this smiley is making an angry face lol)

Any help is greatly appreciated!!offtopic.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
