First I SOOOOOOO want to thank each of your for your words off encouragement and for "having my back" It's amazing what we as women have come together to get done and we have never laid eyes on each other.  THANK YOU for making this forum, DIYing, etc.. so much fun.  You ladies don't know how much I look forward to sharing with the ladies of the MP2012 forum. Each of you ROCK!

Well, ladies I grabbed me a six pack of Stella (taking a quick weekend break- well okay maybe a day break from my Hennessy), and I'm going to respond to a few breeders and then chill out.  BTW I ordered a ton of doggie stuff from Amazon (I was comparing prices from ebay to amazon), and I also ordered my lil man the new DC 52 comic book set (yup he will get 52 comic books).  I wanted to have a lil more under well around our "non tree" I also set-up for my god children to come over Christmas night so they can all play with the puppy etc..  so I ordered their gifts as well.  And guess what for all the items that I purchased I paid $205.  Sweet...

Have a great weekend ladies.

(((BIG HUGS))) to all you ladies!!!!

Thanks for the info!!!  I was worried about trying to do mani and pedis before we left for Cancun and was nervous about it lasting all week before the wedding!

I really like this idea.  I was trying to figure out what way to incorporate everything if we end up with a small group.  None of my guests have booked yet.  This sounds like a great way to ensure that you get to do all of the traditional wedding things.  The timing sounds good too.  It seems like people will have time to arrive, have a drink and some appetizers and the show will begin. You could also do your dance first, like as soon as you walk in (assuming that you're planning to get there 15-20 minutes in) and then do your toasts after the dance.

So, we are just going to have a cocktail hour after the wedding and then have a reception dinner at one of the restaurants.  For the cocktail hour, I'm planning to do the toasts and the first dance.  When do you think I should do these?

I was thinking to let people grab food and drinks and then 20 minutes in, do the toasts.  Then, 45 minutes in, do the first dance.

We'll do the cake cutting after dinner at the restaurant.

Thoughts?  Comments?  Ideas?  Thanks!!

Yes indeed!  Time is ticking!  The great news is that I FINALLY feel like things are coming together.  ...after feeling like a chicken with my head cut off for a couple of months (sorry for the graphic-ness, haha... but totally descriptive!)

You CAN do it, LadyDi!  I started a new exercise program 6 months ago and eating better... and after only 3 months, I had lost 10 pounds of fat and gained a few of muscle.  Now, I've lost 15 pounds of fat and gained 5 of muscle and feel like a NEW WOMAN!  I can fit into my skinny jeans, baby!!  woot.gifIf I can do it, you can do it too!  Just take it one day at a time... and make choices every day to sacrifice the Good (the now) for the Better (who you want to be)!  I believe in you!

4 bottles of Stella down about to grab another....Great, great conversation had with FI and I feel so so so sos.......much better.  And instantly, my headache was gone.  I called off my girls night today (I just wasn't in the mood), and FI got off early (nothing but God). So we were in the house together at 7pm (this is a record breaker).  I could sense something was wrong (beyond what was already wrong) and kept pressing.  Well he had an issue because I printed the programs without his daughter's name in their but in the same breathe dismissed my cousin's name like I didn't have feelings about it because she wasn't my child.  Why did he do that? Still pissed from 2 days ago (I'm an Aries I carry things for a while), I just let it all out but in a very calm manner.  You ladies know the story but just as I told him, she had more than ample enough time and so did you.  How many times did I tell this man that come Dec 9th I will no longer be able to print in bulk without my job knowing it was me...hmm and I report directly to the CEO.. dude really?  As I told him you knew everything as I kept you informed so please don't act like this was a surprise.  If you have an issue go and talk to your daughter and her mom as I don't want to hear it.  I ended my convo with  "I am the the mother bleep Bride to be" and the only time that I felt like a true bride to be during this entire planning process is when I went to say Yes to the dress.  What about me and my feelings?  What about my sacrifices? And you truly think that at this time I give a rats ass and will run after people.  I'm not doing it, not anymore!  I need to enjoy this process or it will not be done, your call?  Tears were shed from both sides, FI hugged me, gave me the kiss on my forehead that I love and said 'I am truly sorry and went to list all the things he was sorry for" including him not doing his part financially for the wedding.  Wow...this was big

But of course I have my thick skin on at this present time, so I need to see action.  So until said time, the wedding projects will still remained boxed up in the spare bedroom. Now that doesn't mean that I will not do projects, it simply means that everything will be done when he is not home and put back.  angel1.gif I mean, I want him to progress right...  EXACTLY ;-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
