It's an antique-looking treasure chest with map fabric on the outside & I'll engrave his full name on a gold plate on the outside.  On the inside, it has a bottle with an etched compass on it with a special message inside from me (which will be a shorter version of my personal wedding vows to him) with burnt edges.  Also in the box is a "Fellow Traveler" poem and a Key that has "My Heart" on it.

Here's the website if you want to take a look: http://www.onepassionplace.com/messagesfellowtraveler.htm

It was above my spending budget, but my paycheck was a bit bigger this month, so I thought WTH --- go for it!!!  SO PSYCHED!  Can't wait to see it --- had it shipped to my Mom's house so will get to view it when I go home for Christmas.  :)

Big checkmark!

P.S.  Also ordered my garter --- bow chica wow wow!  LOL!

They look great!!!

I know, I know.... why am I making the favors for this party being thrown for ME?  Hehehe.... b/c Mom was stressing about it, and I assured her it'd be a piece of cake.

And it was!  30 min & done ---- not the most intricate output, but I think they're adorable!  I think there's 30 of them...

Makes me want chocolate now!  LOL!!!

umm...Yes.  But honestly, I don't even know what to work on without knowing how many are coming.  I will eventually work on OOT bags, welcome letters, luggage tags, raffia fan programs but in reality I probably can't start those until March.  I don't want to under or over purchase.  So, I just decided not to stress about doing more until I have a better head count!  :)

Hello ladies, I hope all is well with everyone & their families!!  Everyone's wedding projects are absolutely beautiful, creative & wonderful.  Looking at everything that you ladies have done, I'm starting to feel a llittle overwhelmed! smile35.gifI have not ordered my dress, finished invites, picked bridesmaid dresses, ANYTHING!  The holidays are approaching & I have a lot to do for my kids & family!!  I also haven't started my weight loss program, so I'm freaking out!  Whew, I needed to vent, thanks for reading my post!  I will be ok, but I'm realizing that there is just as much planning for a destination wedding as one at home!!

YES!  I was going to work on our Time Capsule Guest Book tonight & try to finish it, but my body was telling me that was too much and to take a break.  So the FI and I got a Redbox: Crazy Stupid Love.  Looked cute!

Even though I have a TON to do in the next 2 weeks, I know that if I overdo it, I'll totally burn out.  Nice to take a break!

LiaLoooves, Welcome to the forum!  No you don't have to use these collections you can simply use the Complimentary Collection and bring your own decor if you wish.  Or contact Zuniga/Deco Cancun and contract with them to decorate.

I've looked on the website and saw the packages and am not pressed even after all the hype.  To me, its pretty much new decor with the same stuff offered in the old packages but with the request for more money.  I would contact them as I am sure that they will still have the old packages for those that already booked.

I've been pretty much hammering things out because of my crazy schedule.  But believe you me there are many days where I don't want to do crap wedding related.

Happy Hump Day Ladies,

Well today unlike many others I did not wake up early to print.  I just didnt' have it in me espeically since FI and I had a big disagreement over the Christmas gift that he is getting for his daughter that I don't think is necessary or warranted, especially since she still don't have nor nowhere in the process of getting her passport.  So to me the cost of the gift simply screams "okay no matter the fact that you are giving me your bootyshake.gif to kiss, & that you don't care to be apart of the biggest day of our life, I will get you a gift that you truly don't deserve." I am so annoyed to say the least.  So, I'm done wedding planning for a minute and yes, I went home and packed everything up and put it in the back room so the dining room which was my work station looks very bare (so much so that my son when he came home from school said "mom where's the wedding stuff.")  Anyway, I won't have much to post over the next few weeks as I don't plan on doing anything. On a brighter note

This morning when I opened my email, the lovely Chelsea from Red-i said that she finished my wedding day necklace and earrings and that she will send me a picture later today.  Also, I received a sneak peak from an Etsy vendor of our cake server and forks... She's going to engrave them & have these babies in the mail. DSC_3107_blue_and_pink_cake_knife[1].JPG

anyway,so excited for next weekend as my son and I will be off to find our new addition to our family.  I can't wait to have a dog.. Talk to you later.

Have fun getting your dog. I wish i had the patience for that but i love being free to do what i want when i want and don't want to be tied down to dogs or kids lol. Ours are all grown speaking of which no one knows about spoiled bratty young adult daughters than me (between us we have 4 from 17 to 24) and I will tell you it isn't worth the fight with your man. They eventually grow up and mature and in the meantime you just have to try not to kill them lol. Make your stand but don't let it bum you out over the holidays - it's a time for giving and joy ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
