So as promised from earlier here is a picture of our cocktail menu which is based off of the Superior Hor D'Oeuvres.  We are not decorating much for the cocktail hour (well it is only an hour) however; there must be a splash of color.  So, of course these menus along with our butterflies will help us out here.  I made these smaller and wider than our other menus & placed the butterfly in a different area.  However; the key for me was to make sure that it tied in with our dinner menus.

Here are  the dinner menus adorned with the 4D butterflies.  After these dry, I will begin to add the white Swarovski Crystals to the head and tail of the butterfly.

Happy DIYing

Merrylee saved my bootyshake.gif Muchas Gracias!  If you haven't read, Merrylee picked up that I had a spelling mistake where it was to read "Assorted Mexican Desserts" but it was was spelled Deserts.  So with that said, I got out of bed (I was viewing from my phone), to look and wow..  So I tried to salvage the butterflies (I can always print right)... well the butterflies were STUCK... thanks to Martha's adhesive.... there was NO way in hell that I was going to put my hand through more pain trying to punch these babies out.. that Martha punch is far from easy..... so as a result the invites look the same minus 1 1/2 inch.  That's right I cut the bad boys off after "Wedding Cake"  smile120.gif  So now they are exactly the same length as our cocktail menus.  Not bad for an all around save.  Thanks again Merrylee 1-pray.gif

My April 2012 Brides, Is anyone interested in doing a cup like this?  We can do one with a logo that everyone agrees on but appropriate for the occasion? These are studio cups that change to various colors  like frosted (pictured below) to orange or pink, blue, purple and/or assorted colors.  They are running 250 for $197 with a $40 logo set-up fee.  I need 50 myself but need other interested brides (regardless of where you live).  Let me know if you are interested and how many you may need.  More information can be found here http://www.vendodirect.com/prstcu.html

I know I am having the same thoughts. I don't really have a lot of guests so I hope it isn't too much but I do have a teenage niece who is dying to be the DJ lol maybe I can make her the photobooth girl. I am also going to have the photographer take some pictures there also because I have him for the whole ceremony and it really isn't going to be neessary once the cake is cut and the first dances are over. If I think of anything I will let you know.

And I think the WC or an assistant are there all night so maybe they can help.

Oh yeah I am on top of the coupon thing. I love to shop but I must feel that I am getting a deal lol. But FYI when you give them the 50% coupon it comes off the highest priced item. I am always making sure of that and it does everytime. ;)

I can't say enough about Michaels..... but I LOVE me some Michaels.  We have that gold membership, coupon on iPhone, along with the computers on the website thing down to a science.  Many times I tell the check-out person that they will see my in one second as I have another coupon to use..  I simply check out with one order, then turn around and get the other order LOL

One word of advice...use your 50% off coupon for the costly items and buy it alone that way your 50% off is not on a $3.99 purchase.  For me this was key!  Then I would use my 40% off on other items that weren't so costly.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
