Now isn't that some bull--bleep. Back to the drawing board. Well I have extra paper but damn I'll have to try to salvage the butterflies.

Coco since I know you are a complete and utter perfectionist I wanted to point out that your assorted Mexican Desserts on your menu actually says Desert.

Everyone's projects look great!

Well ladies,

Merrylee saved my bootyshake.gif Muchas Gracias!  If you haven't read, Merrylee picked up that I had a spelling mistake where it was to read "Assorted Mexican Desserts" but it was was spelled Deserts.  So with that said, I got out of bed (I was viewing from my phone), to look and wow..  So I tried to salvage the butterflies (I can always print right)... well the butterflies were STUCK... thanks to Martha's adhesive.... there was NO way in hell that I was going to put my hand through more pain trying to punch these babies out.. that Martha punch is far from easy..... so as a result the invites look the same minus 1 1/2 inch.  That's right I cut the bad boys off after "Wedding Cake"  smile120.gif  So now they are exactly the same length as our cocktail menus.  Not bad for an all around save.  Thanks again Merrylee 1-pray.gif

Coco, I am SOOO sorry.  My FI always tells me to keep my anal spelling nature to myself.  He said that I HAVE to apologize to you immediately.  So I am so very sorry, I did the same thing to a friend on her wedding invitations after she glued on all the rhinestones, I should just zip it.

Please tell FI that I will NOT accept your apology, at ALLshameonyou.gif  Yet I send you a THANK YOU and a big hug2.gif for caring enough (spelling nature or not) to let me know before the big day.  Tell FI that I said, that would have been devastating to say the least.  So to be corrected on a site where we are here to HELP, well is just that!

To save myself the agony of punching these butterflies out again, I simply cut them off after the words "Wedding Cake"  and then used my corner punch to round off the edges to match the top.  So all is well cheers.gif and no spelling errors;-)  I'm glad they could be salvaged because although I have extra paper, the butterflies took forever.

Thanks again

So I have been so jealous of all the beautiful DIY projects but I am not doing any projects yet as I have no idea how many people are coming. I am in my gathering stage- I have been ordering towels and vistaprint items and OOT stuff but I am waiting another month until I have a clearer picture of who is coming. I did not do invitations because I did an e vite and it is mostly family so I decided to save money thereand spend it on the people who are coming. Anyway so my first DIY project is the following:

I have decided to set up a "photobooth" using photoprops I ordered from an etsy seller , boas, sombreros and chalkboards. I ordered an instax camera that will allow my guests to put there picture in my guest book with a message thus my photobooth book will also serve as my guest book. I have started the guest book and this is what I have so far. I bought so many stickers and embellishments it is ridiculous but everything was so cute but i realized I should leave those for the guests to decorate their pages.scrapbook cover.jpgscrapbook 1.jpgil_170x135_280163873.jpg

Ladydi, I love your guestbook! I'm in the process of creating one similar to the same thing. May I ask who will be "manning" your photo booth? Will someone in your bridal party do it or are you leaving it to the guests to handle on their own. I'm curious to know how to make it work.

Thanks so much for the compliment but I can't even begin to take credit as this site, helped the "buyer in me" DIY.  I'm so the "let me find the best person for the job" type of girl but this site has truly been my inspiration.  I'm simply paying it forward the best way that I know how.

I can't say enough about Michaels..... but I LOVE me some Michaels.  We have that gold membership, coupon on iPhone, along with the computers on the website thing down to a science.  Many times I tell the check-out person that they will see my in one second as I have another coupon to use..  I simply check out with one order, then turn around and get the other order LOL

One word of advice...use your 50% off coupon for the costly items and buy it alone that way your 50% off is not on a $3.99 purchase.  For me this was key!  Then I would use my 40% off on other items that weren't so costly.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
